A Democratic state representative who supported U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton during the New Hampshire primary has endorsed U.S. Sen. John McCain‘s presidential campaign.
The McCain campaign announced that state Rep. Doreen Howard (D-Newmarket) endorsed McCain because he "values the importance of public service."
"As a lifelong Democrat who enthusiastically backed Hillary Clinton in the primaries, I am now supporting John McCain.

No doubt the Dems will regurgitate the claim of racism as the cause for this. Anyone, especially their own, that doesn't support the Obamessiah, by definition, MUST be a racist. Such is the lazy intellectualism of the left.

although it doesn't matter much Electoral College-wise, it would be sweet taking New Hampshire away from the Dems. Powerful symbolism there.

But the biggest face slap was Joe Lieberman...how embarrassing is it for them to have a former democratic vice presidential candidate back the republican party ticket 8 years later. I wonder what Gore was feeling during his speech that night at the RNC convention... :-)

Anything is possible

Summary:
McCain - 49.1%
Obama - 42.8%
Not Sure/Other - 8.1%
"Still very close here. In a state that loves John McCain, and handed Obama a bruising defeat, McCain has a higher favorability rating."
Electoral Votes: 4, Too close to call

Wow--Newmarket even? That's a seriously Dem town.
Trust me, there are SO many reasons why NH can and probably will go red again this year. McCain is the primary reason, the others include taking back the Senate/Legislature back from the Dems. They got a majority in the Legislature for the first time in 95 years, and both houses for the first time in over 130 years back in 2006, and talking to people there is SERIOUS buyers remorse.
Then, a heavy GOP turnout (which wasn't there in 2006) will send both our first-term moonbat Congrescritters, Hodes and Shea-Porter, packing. Shea-Porter is facing the guy she defeated in 2006 in Jeb Bradley and Paul Hodes is facing Jennifer Horn (a very exciting conservative). Next, heavy GOP turnout will ensure Senator Sununu's reelection over "Queen Jeanne the Spending Machine" Shaheen.
The only dark spot in all of this is the fact that Kenney will probably lose the governor's race to John "Do-Nothing" Lynch.
