Two ladies showed up at my door to tell me the good news today
Nice enough people, big smiles on their faces. The good news is that “Jesus is coming and he will be king.” I explained that I don’t believe in that nonsense and none of their claims hold up to reasonable scrutiny and they said good bye. I replied, “Happy Holidays, but the news isn’t very good for me.”
And that was that and then I thought about it. How sociopathic are these people? Their faith tells them I am going to be murdered and tortured and to them that’s good news because it helps them out. Imagine if I showed ok at random houses reveling in the imminent murder and torture of the people who answered the door.

Little did JohnnyXtraXtraLarge know that the two ladies were actually angels moonlighting with Publisher's Clearing House. When they left the house, one of them looked at the other and asked, "Why did you tell him that Jesus was coming and would be King instead of just telling him that we're with Publisher's Clearing House and he'd finally won?" The other one replied, "I just wanted to see if he was worthy of the money. If he gets bent out of shape and pissy just at someone politely saying 'Jesus is coming and will be King', he's a waste of oxygen who doesn't deserve anything. Much less money. Anyway, he's probably a parasitic leech who posts at that idiotic website called Democrat Underground."

I won't say the ladies could not be from an Evangelical church, but the two groups who mainly do the door-to-door thing are Mormons and Jehovah's witnesses. Evangelicals, not so much. I don't think Catholics or mainline Protestants go in for the door-to-door thing. The doctrine Johnny2X2X claimed they teach is not taught by Evangelicals, Mormons, or JWs, so I'm thinking that Johnny2X2X is either blathering in ignorance to the ignorant or lying to the ignorant he knows to be credulous.

You know, the sort where those self- professed "Champions of tolerance" reveal how deeply bigoted and intolerant they truly are towards anyone with views different from their own, at times helped by creating imaginary straw-men (Or in this case straw- women) of Christians for the DUmmy to write a story around.
I won't say the ladies could not be from an Evangelical church, but the two groups who mainly do the door-to-door thing are Mormons and Jehovah's witnesses. Evangelicals, not so much. I don't think Catholics or mainline Protestants go in for the door-to-door thing. Yea, the JoHo's are the only ones who go door to door like that. I don't know the details, but it's part of their beliefs that they are required to to do certain things such as spread the gospel. I understand that and even though it gets annoying when they are on a campaign, I'm always nice to them as they are very nice people and i know what they are doing and why. When I tell them I'm of Baptist origins, they give up immediately and hand me their pamphlet and split. I've never encountered any that are not extremely nice. There's not need for being rude, they are good people with good intentions.

As far as the murder and torture, I'll wager Johnny is gay and/or pagan, and fallen for the propaganda that all Murican Christians want to return to Old Testament laws and stone homosexuals, adulterers, furries, witches, fortune tellers, and the like. Or maybe his communication skills just suck and he can't express the concept of Hell in a coherent sentence, which is what Christians are trying to save sinners from by proselytizing to them.

Ok, that's a new one on me. I don't know any Mormons, I didn't realize they also did this. But if I were to guess, it's likely for the same reasons. I still don't understand why people think it's Ok to treat them like garbage. Anytime we can make someones day even a tiny bit brighter with no more effort than a smile, we should do it. But then again, the DUmmies primary source of energy is blind hatred so I doubt they are capable.
