In my opinion, the best way to stop the slaughter is to tell Israel to do whatever they need to do to protect themselves AND mean it. Especially after they've been attacked by the murderous a-holes.

Usually she's able to keep it below the surface, but I'm wagering that she hit the sauce a bit harder than usual yesterday, so what little impulse control she might have had was even more questionable than normal...

I can recall my first comments after the October 7th, 2023 attack by HAMAS on Israel. Something akin to "Muslim apologists are blaming the Jews for wearing a short skirt, just like those who justify rape."
Paraphrasing from memory of course, but that's more or less what I typed. **** Malaise and the sycophantic lefties who defend a religion who would murder them for any blasphemy.

KEREM SHALOM CROSSING, Gaza — Thousands of pallets of humanitarian aid stacked at the Gaza border — from sacks of flour to blankets and canned food — are awaiting delivery by relief organizations that are unwilling to send supply trucks likely to be looted by Hamas terrorists and other street criminals.
The aid, coming in on trucks from Jordan, Egypt and the West Bank, has already been inspected by the Israel Defense Forces before entering Gaza, where the international community and humanitarian organizations are in charge of delivering the assistance to Palestinians.
But the path from the Israel-Gaza border to where the aid is needed in the central and north is long — and repeatedly targeted by violent thieves.

4. I blame Hamas for hiding in, around and under its women and children.
I blame Hamas for starting a war they could not possibly fight, knowing that the world would be receiving horrifying visual feeds of the children whose deaths are on those who have put and kept them in danger.
Kudos to Hamas for convincing the world that there is nothing wrong with hiding under hospitals and schools and mosques and homes.
I blame Hamas for blocking innocent civilian egress to safety zones
I blame Hamas for stealing food trucks and selling them to their own citizens
Kudos to Hamas for convincing the world that the sovereign nation they attacked is not only responsible for feeding, providing water and electricity to the entity that attacked them, but also responsible for a starvation that is actually non-existent and could only happen because Hamas is hijackung aid trucks.
I blame Hamas for failing to negotiate/adhere to a meaningful ceasefire or surrender given how many of their own people have died.
I blame the media for not realizing that no one has died of natural causes in Gaza for a year (all counted as war casualties), for not realizing that Hamas has changed the age and sex of many dead so as to increase women and children counts, for failing to report that there have been more births than deaths in Gaza this year
I blame the media for failing to recognize the efforts the IDF goes to warn citizens to clear areas that are going to be bombed because… Hamas… but instead claim “genocide” when targeting civilians is exactly what Israel is trying not to do
But hey, it’s Chanukah so a guy can dream right?

I dunno, not all DU-Denizens spew mindless crap continually, though brooklynite got a granite pizza for saying something that was probably too true for DU-folk to tolerate (is former9thward still a member in good standing?). Anyway, the post was posted some 36 hours ago and hasn't been deleted and elias7 appears to still be a DU-member in good standing. His/her post got the predictable Arab-Pali-koolaid-dump Replies, because Joooooooos.

Although I haven't done an actual count, based on what I've been seeing over at the island, the DUmmies appear to be pretty close to evenly split on the Israel v/s Hamas thing. At the start of the whole thing, I was almost constantly serving jury duty over there and they were at each others throats continually. They still are in some respects, but after all of the posts getting removed, they are gun shy enough to keep it reeled back now, at least for the most part. But for half of the rejects, it really is just all about hating the Jews. They can never truly hide it well

This was a perfect mini-storm that has been brewing in the Dem Party for several decades.
Jewish people in the US have reliably voted D for something like a century or more, for reasons that elude me (the KKK was a Dem Party institution a century ago; academia limited the number of Jews allowed to enroll in major universities; the Wilson Administration labeled Jews as too intellectually deficient to serve usefully and advance in the military; yada, yada, yada).
Meanwhile, hatred for Israel has been worming its way into lib/Prog mainstream thought since at least the 1967 Six Day War. On at least some college campuses, openly Jewish students have been harassed, with impunity, for 20-30 years. Obama's pastor was and is an open Israel-hating antisemite, and Obama was and is his disciple. Obama's MalAdministration was openly anti-Israel and supportive of Israel's enemies (remember the "pallets of cash" sent to Iran?). Over the past decade, the Dem Party has tolerated and even embraced antisemites like Ilhan Omar and the rest of The Squad.
Hamas' invasion of Israel - massacring civilians, abducting and raping and torturing -brought these into collision. What Hamas did was too horrible for LIEden and minions to support, openly, and supporting Hamas would alienate many Jewish voters. OTOH, supporting Israel's just and proportional response to 10/7 and the prior 2 decades of rocketings was more than LIEden and minions could support, and their perception was that supporting Israel would alienate the Muslim vote they had been courting for a couple of decades. Being courage-free weasels, LIEden and minions tried to find a middle course, neither totally condemning Israel nor embracing Hamas' actions. It did not work.
In this conflict, DU is a microcosm of the the Dem Party, split between Jew-hater members and members who cannot support Arab-Pali terrorists. :popcorn:
