Luigi Mangione Is Everywhere
From hoodies to erotic fan fiction, the internet is flooded with expressions of support and love for the suspected killer—a development experts find concerning.
Within hours of Luigi Mangione being charged with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on Monday, online stores were flooded with T-shirts, hoodies, mugs, stickers, and other merchandise praising the alleged shooter and featuring phrases like: “In this house, Luigi Mangione is a hero. End of story.”
On Etsy, WIRED found almost 100 listings featuring products with Mangione’s name or image. These include a tote bag featuring pictures of the alleged shooter alongside the phrase “Mama, I’m in love with a criminal” and PDF copies of a mocked-up cover of Time magazine featuring Mangione as Person of the Year and the tagline “Healthcare revolutionary, leading the charge to transform global health.”

Mangione picked the "right" person to murder, someone "everyone" is "supposed to" hate.
As an aside, I hope this murderer is not at all related to Chuck Mangione.

My initial though about the murderer's last name. One wonders if he was a plumber along with is Italian brother who also dabbled in playing the flugelhorn.

Chuck Mangione was born in Rochester, VY, while the murderer was born in Baltimore, so if they are related, it's probably several generations back and in Italy. I was surpised to learn that Chuck Mangione is 84. The 20s and 30s seem to have been a time when many Italian people left Italy (fleeing Musso?).

Inside Luigi Mangione’s extremely wealthy family that’s been dubbed ‘beloved’ Baltimore royalty: ‘It’s a shock for all of us’

TOWSON, Md. — Luigi Mangione’s family is “beloved’’ Baltimore royalty, fueled by a real estate empire and a history of contributing millions of dollars to health care — the very industry that allegedly drove him to murder.
Luigi’s late grandfather, family patriarch Nick Mangione Sr., liked to talk about being the product of a classic immigrant success story.
“I didn’t have two nickels to rub together when my father died when I was 11, yet I still became a millionaire,” Nick once told the Baltimore Sun of his Italian immigrant dad and his own hardscrabble upbringing.
“What other country can you do that in? None that I can think of.”
Luigi Mangione came from a wealthy and privileged Baltimore family. I do not believe they are related.

Was really only being sarcastic about them being related, as it isn't a terribly common last name.
