Anybody else's family in a shambles due to this election?
Mine is.

On one side is me, my sister, her SO, and my husband

On the other: my dad & his wife

In the middle: My brother & his wife (they are anti-Trump but maintain that "everyone has a right to their opinion)

**** the fascists. **** Trump.

He has destroyed this country.

It didn’t take long for the thread to turn into a shambles with the word police stepping in and the disagreements to start. :lmao: :rotf:

Yet another thread full of proof, that their actions are always someone elses fault.

Sounds like the small minded angry and true fascist DUmbass is destroying its family. Not Trump, a mental misfit of a person that posts at the DUmp.

People are glad the constant ads and flyers in the mail box are over. Yard signs in the area came down pretty quick. Within a day or two of the election.

And he got absolutely hammered for it.  How dare he!

Funny story (at least for me), my wonderful mother passed away a few years ago at the ripe old age of 99.

Several years after the former was elected, when she was around 96 or so, she said "if someone gave me a gun and I shot him, what could they do to an old woman like me?"

Hilarious.

I sent my own letter to my dad earlier today.

He never responded to my sisters, so I'm not really expecting a response to mine either.

Her and her long rambling poison letters to him.  I imagine he just throws them away unread.

There are several Name Removed.

Haven't talked to her since and I won't see her at Thanksgiving. She's 82 and in poor health, but I am OK with not speaking with her again if that's what I decide.

Just wretched, horrible loathsome worms.  They're over there berating anybody who says "not really."

Then we have this:

she refuses to stop seeing her MAGA family of origin and refuses to let our kids stop seeing them.

I will not attend her family gatherings, and she's pissed. This will probably be the end for us.

Coventina is being far less than honest. Her Dad had the temerity to place a Trump sign in his front yard. That's it, a sign plus, obviously, voting for Trump. In response to his daring to have views different from hers, Coventina's sister wrote an arrogant, "How dare you?!" letter, Cave thread here, https://conservativecave.com/cave/index.php?topic=135033.0 . After the election, Coventina herself sent this, "I don't feel safe around you!" verbose tantrum-letter to her Dad, https://conservativecave.com/cave/index.php?topic=135177.0 .

If Coventina's family is in shambles, it's due to her and her sister's arrogance and tantrumming. I hope her Dad has friends less partisanly foolish than his own daughters.

My polite vocabulary is inadequate to express the moronicity of this. The idea he'd tell his children, "No! You cannot visit your Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins! They voted for Trump, and Daddy can't control his mouth for a 4- or 6-hour visit!" is just appallingly stupid.

She likely has refused to stop seeing her MAGA boyfriend as well.

I have an aunt in Colorado who is a diehard democrat. She deleted me on FB years ago. If she ever called me out of the blue and asked me for help, I'd drop everything I was doing and do everything I could to help her. You know, because I'm not a demented ****ing lunatic like you DUmbasses.

"Trump has destroyed this country", democrats say as they or their cohorts shun family members for supporting Trump.

oops. I'm replying to this because I got it wrong earlier -  Venisnik isn't her father but her father-inlaw, Tommy kept her maiden name coz she's so progressive and all. And this bitch's father is a reverend, poor guy:

So her rejection of her father has roots far deeper in time than Trump's dive into politics. Why am I not surprised?

Borrowing from an old joke by the late Dr. Walter Martin, does Coventina check her plumbers' and hairdresser's car bumpers and windows for Christian emblems?

These leftists lives were in shambles long before Trump came along. Probably need to go back to the 60’s or even earlier when their worldview went way off the rails.

Thankfully, as far as I know, all of my family have been converted. Even one who was strongly anti-GOP during W Bush's terms. If they were still dems, like you, I'd help them if they needed help because that's what decent people do.

The DUmmie's initial post reminded me of a conversation that I had with my dad a few years before he passed. I had went to visit him, and as we were talking he asked my opinion about some issue (I can't remember what) that was in the news at the time. I told him that I didn't really know because I'd been too busy to pay much attention. He chastised me a little bit. Telling me that I should try to stay informed. Then he said the words that has stuck with me since that day: If you do ever have to make a choice on an issue that you don't know much about, you'll usually be on the correct side if you choose opposite of whatever the democrat stance is.
