Democrats need to figure out how we lost to a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist.
I support democrats.

And most people like me don't buy it. Intelligent people know a good old fashioned railroading when they see it.
- Also, your concern about Trump's "felonies" is greatly diminished by the fact that you all want Biden to quickly pardon his junkie son, who did many times worse than Thump.
- Real American women are secure in their gender status and in their sexuality. Most women enjoy their femininity. It isn't something that they sit around thinking about. Based on what I have heard from women (who don't live in Brooklyn, Portland, Silver Lake, or Madison), it's off-putting to have men cosplaying as women described as "women." Dick, nuts, makeup, and a wig make you a member of Poison, not a woman. Real women bristle at the insistence of people sitting in university offices or broadcast studios that someone born with a dick and nuts can magically become a woman. Indeed, if a man can somehow wear makeup and heels and become a woman, then why don't any prominent left wing lesbians take on as a partner? One thing for certain, if the Dems figure it out, it wont happen on DU. In fact, if the Dems come to the same conclusions as those being floated on DU right now, then the Dems didn’t figure out why they lost, because DUers are missing it by infinite light years.
A good start would be telling the rank and file “If you’re to the left of Joe Manchin, you need to find another party, we don’t want you.” But that would require backbone and intelligence, something that Dems don’t possess.

They've been screaming "34 convicted felonies!!!" for months now, and it had no effect. Everyone knows all of it was bullshit, and it scared the shit out of people as well. If they can do it to him, they can do it to you. And we don't have the money to handle it.

Given what I'm reading at DU, elsewhere on-line, and the leftie talking heads on TV and radio, they aren't ready to have an adult conversation about why they lost. It's still racist, bigoted, homophobe, misogynist, right-wing media, blah, blah, blah... with them. Anyone who continues to hold that type of worldview will likely never be able to snap out of it and see things clearly. Their arrogance and condescending attitudes won't allow it. They would have to admit to themselves they are not intelligent at all. They aren't even close to being in the same room intellectually as conservatives. We are so far above them in every way.

The folks on the left have been having a hard time in the wake of President-elect Donald Trump's crushing victory in the election on Tuesday. People of all demographics came out in force to give him a mandate and delivered a resounding rejection of Kamala Harris and the Democrats. We saw crazy meltdowns from the Washington Post's Jennifer Rubin to comedian Kathy Griffin bemoaning what would happen to the world now. Anthony Scaramucci and Michael Cohen both got a little reality check (Cohen courtesy of turkey filters on a livestream and Scaramucci via epic schooling from CNBC's Joe Kernan).
But Bill Maher, despite his TDS, served up a little more reality to the left, "Losers look in the mirror."
Democrats wondered how it could be close, and they were right, it wasn't, Maher said. "Trump won so big, he called the Secretary of State in Georgia and asked him to lose him 11,000 votes." Maher even acknowledged how Trump expanded his coalition, keeping the folks he had and then getting the new voters, doing better in every demographic. Then he lit into the liberal media, "always more offended than the victim," talking about women. But women vote on the economy just like men. Women just wanted "bacon," Maher explained. Yes, what a concept, women and men both want to be able to provide for themselves and their families.
Maher also quipped it was "so bad on election night that Kamala called McDonald's to see if she could get her old job back." She underperformed in every demographic, although she was still performing well with illegal immigrant inmates who wanted sex change operations, he said.
Then Maher let loose on one of the reasons he thought the Democrats lost - that they were "resoundingly" rejecting the anti-common sense woke nonsense.
He pointed out how even in Los Angeles, Proposition 36 passed increasing penalties for shoplifting because people are fed up. It's not just about Trump, it's the people wanting a total change from the nonsense. People voted "Instead of locking up the toothpaste, how about locking up the shoplifters?"
He also explained how even in ultra-liberal San Francisco they had enough of "homelessness, public drug use, and defecating in the streets," voting out Mayor London Breed.

Civil War Is Breaking Out in the Democratic Party
The Democratic Party is in a state of self-destruction. That’s no exaggeration. Party leaders aren’t just reeling from Donald Trump’s stunning victory earlier this week—they’re turning on each other, casting blame in a way that signals a deepening internal divide. With accusations flying and no clear direction forward, it’s clear that an intraparty civil war may be brewing.
And frankly, I’m experiencing a bit of schadenfreude watching it unfold. Trust me, it's about to get really ugly.
Honestly, I don't think this is garden variety post-defeat introspection. For starters, there are Democrats who blame Kamala Harris for running a terrible campaign and for her poor choice of running mate.
"I would've liked to see the Harris campaign – especially the national campaign – coordinate with us a little bit. Talk to us a little bit. Give us a little bit more resources. Show us some respect. Didn't happen," Philadelphia Democratic chair and former congressman Bob Brady said.
“She let the GOP define her,” a senior Democratic operative told Time Magazine. “She could have left the convention and tried to reach out to voters from across the political spectrum, but she and [running mate Tim] Walz went inexplicably into hiding and didn’t do interviews for weeks.”
Some are convinced that picking Josh Shapiro would have helped.
"I know a lot of people are probably wondering tonight what would have happened had Shapiro been on the ticket," Lindy Li, a political commentator and Democratic National Committee member, told Fox News. "And not only in terms of Pennsylvania. He's famously a moderate. So that would have signaled to the American people that she is not the San Francisco liberal that Trump said she was."
And of course, Kamala's failure to distance herself from Joe Biden was another problem.
There are some who are willing to acknowledge that the Democrats have become too radical, particularly with their embrace of gender ideology.
“The Democrats have to stop pandering to the far left,” Rep. Tom Suozzi, (D-N.Y.), told the New York Times. “I don’t want to discriminate against anybody, but I don’t think biological boys should be playing in girls’ sports.”
Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) agreed.
“Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face. I have two little girls. I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat, I’m supposed to be afraid to say that.”
But the real sign that this is about to get really ugly is that now even former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is saying that the Democratic Party would have benefited if President Biden had withdrawn from his re-election bid earlier, allowing for a competitive primary process to choose his successor. In an interview with the New York Times, Pelosi expressed what many suspected at the time of Biden’s exit: she believed Biden’s departure would lead to an internal party contest for a new nominee, rather than an automatic elevation of Vice President Kamala Harris.

I've been trying to tell people that since before the election. With the 34x felon situation, I (and I assume most other sane people) see it this way... If you were to take almost any demonrat politician and the have the majority of the media demonize him (or her) and declare his (or her) guilt every day for 24 hours per day, then have a clearly partisan Republican prosecutor bring vague charges in a strongly Republican district (so most jurors are Republican), and have the case heard by a clearly partisan Republican judge who openly shows favoritism to the prosecution and contempt for the defendant and then instructs the jury that they don't have to all find him (or her) guilty of the same thing, just guilty of something, that demonrat politician in question would also be a felon.
The one thing that I do wonder about though is how many dem voters are stupid enough to believe that it was an honest and unbiased proceeding from start to finish compared to how many of them are hypocritical liars who know the truth and just pretend like they don't see it.
