What. the. hell. DU?
Why is Chump the topic of the majority of threads in GD instead of Harris at 2 weeks out?
Why are there so many sensationalistic posts day after day? Thread after thread, post after post repeating what that sick **** did or said.
I thought this place was about getting Democrats elected.
Kamala and Tim deserve more coverage here than he does.

Hey, DUmmies, DU was born in order to hate Bush after he won in 2000. It's been about hating Rs ever since.
Here's an idea: Start a DU thread to praise Harris' accomplishments. It'll make for some light reading.

First, focusing on Trump is the democrats' main campaign strategy. Right now, it looks like they're actually trying to reduce the amount of attention on Harris. There's a reason for that.
Second, one of the by-products of an echo chamber like DU is that there isn't much variety in the topics discussed, since the members there basically all agree with one another.

Hatred for and demonizing an enemy defines DU. Maybe if Brenda were not an LPC Noob she might know that. Or maybe she would join DU long-termers in being consumed by hatred. :shrug:

That's actually the best strategy they have had so far.

And normally you would expect a campaign to talk about the opposition, maybe 80% you and 20% them, but not almost exclusively, which they do.
But when you field the question about 80% of the country believing the country is going in the wrong direction, that you’ve been in power the last 4 years, and how do you explain that, and your answer is “Well, Trump has been running for president for years….. you know what I mean”, that’s a campaign built on voting against the opposition rather than giving people policy reasons to vote for you.
I have yet to hear her explain how Trump running for president is the reason they can’t be held responsible for the way things are now. And she was clearly trying to make the claim that Trump’s running prevented them from doing all the good things they had planned and minus him campaigning everything would be rainbows and unicorns.
