Political signs on the way to town
I have not had a chance to go to town lately but finally made a trip down to the pharmacy today.
I’m in a red county, just west of the blue Northern Virginia counties.
My ride to work is full of Harris/Walz signs, but I go the back way, through a historically Black community, so that is not unexpected. Driving the other direction is a different story. There’s the “Trump Shrine” house (the people who hilariously and literally cut out the name Pence from their billboard-sized sign on 1/7), and in years past, several Trump signs and even an all black “No Quarter” American flag.
The ride today was pleasant! I saw a bear cub and very few Trump signs. The Shrine has their dumb flags up but no big billboards. The have a new Gadsden flag, as well. Their neighbors (possibly relatives?), who have long been rumored to be Klan members, had 2 Trump signs at the end of their driveway. Only one other T sign along my road. A huge change from the last election! The black flag is gone, and the folks next door to that house have a Harris/Walz sign and local D candidate signs. Ollie North has a huge Hung Cao sign on his security gate (the R candidate for VA Senate).
In town, the main street is virtually papered with signs, the vast majority for local D candidates. One sign I saw that was interesting was of the VA seal with “Moderates for Harris” on it. Several Harris/Walz Obviously signs. Only two T signs in the mix.
I feel safe putting out a yard sign this year so will be stopping by Dem HQ on Friday.
One big change I noticed was at another weirdo’s house near my work. They have had Confederate flags, Eff Biden flags, a flag with the silhouette of an AR 15, and other garbage out for so long the flags were all sun faded. The flags have been gone since the debate, replaced with a single Trump 2024 flag tacked up on the front porch. Even the Confederate flag is gone. Not reading too much into it, just glad the ever-so-classy “Eff Biden” paraphernalia is gone.

You could go around this country and expound on how many signs you see at any given time. Only thing is what matters is how many votes you get on election day.

I'm in Lyon County Nevada and I've yet to see even a bumper sticker for the hooker, but Trump flags, stickers and signs are everywhere. Even in Reno I've yet to see any cackles crap.

Maybe there are less Trump signs because Brandon cured cancer or something. Hmmm, maybe I am voting for the wrong guy. :whatever:

Counting Harris signs in the black community means nothing because. according to Democrats. blacks aren't smart enough to find their way to the polls or the DMV to get an ID.
