:hi5: and QFT. England has for several years had a spate of knife killings and attacks, and there was a major knife-killing spree in Germany a couple of weeks ago. So if guns are made difficult to obtain, then other means will be used, because it's a human being problem, not a tool problem.

I know that the DUmmies want to do away with guns, for the most part, simply because their overlords in the Democrat Party say that guns need to be done away with. Hmm, sounds kind of cultish, doesn’t it? I wonder if the DUmmies have ever wondered WHY their overlords want guns done away with? It’s definitely not because the overlords care about the safety of the people. If their overlords really cared about the safety of the people they wouldn’t treat mental illness (like the trans stuff) as normal and even encourage it. They’d also punish violent offenders and, most importantly, make an effort to do something about inner city murders that regularly happen. So, since the people’s safety isn’t a concern to the overlords, why do they so badly want to get rid of guns? This is yet another case where history can provide a clue. Way back in 1775, there was a group of people who grew tired of the tyranny of their overlords. The overlords ruled a superpower and viewed the group of people in question as country bumpkin farmers who should just do as they were told. When the group of people finally reached the end of their rope, they used their guns (essentially the same guns that the military of the overlords used) to remove the yoke placed upon them by the overlords and defeat the superpower. The overlords of today's Democrat Party knows the past and don't wish to repeat it.

Where I grew up, "everyone" hunted - doves, pheasants, quail, deer, jackrabbits, etc.. Many households, including my parents', had shotguns and rifles. Even though so many homes had guns, our town (and surrounding area) had zero school shootings. ZEEEEEE-roe!
School shootings and mass shootings are not a guns problem, they are a human beings problem. The solution lies in learning what has changed in humans' moral values in the past 60 years or so, and correcting that. DU-folk would not like what would be learned and changed were that done.

I told my wife that she just provided evidence that it’s not a gun problem because when she was in school there were less gun control laws and less shootings. A couple of differences between then and now is that, back then, most places enforced the law and most people did not treat mental illness like it was normal.

Kammie lived in the US her first 12 years, and in California when she started school. She entered the primary grades when I was in high school, her in Berkeley and I in Yolo County. We indeed did not have shooter drills, and as I posted above, my part of Yolo County had a lot of hunters ... and zero school shootings.

Well they just had a school shooting in a Omaha NE High School on Sept. 10th. Only one person was shot and they are recovering. The shooter may have shot the other kid in retaliation for being bullied in school but that isn't 100% confirmed yet. It is also unknown where the gun came from since there was a break in of a gun store in Nebraska City not long ago by some teen aged suspects and I don't think all of them were caught.
