Update: Yay! My old high school friend isn't a Trumper!
My snail mail reached the old high school friend whom I had managed to track down (Hoping my old high school friend hasn't turned Trumpy over the years), and we had a great catch-up talk.
He was the first one to cautiously broach the subject of politics, and was just as relieved that I hadn't gone Trumpy as I was about him. 😅

I have a booth at the local flea market. I'm a HUGE Trump supporter but you won't find anything political in my booth.
There are flaming liberals that come in and buy from me, as well as hard-core Trump supporters.
In the words of Michael Jordan, "Republicans buy shoes too".
In my case, "Liberals buy my stuff too".
I'm not going to alienate anyone when they're putting money in my pocket.

Since cutting out of one's life all whose socio-political views differ from the Dem Party line is a mark of virtue in DU, RidinWithHarris's sense of relief is quite understandable.
As an aside, will RidinWithHarris re-reg with a different name if Kammie loses in November (after several months of obligatory Dem-ritual howling and teeth-gnashing about Trump "stealing" the election, of course)?

Last year, after about 38 years, I got together for breakfast with some of the guys that I went to high school with. Since then we've tried to meet up every two or three months. We never talk politics, but I assume that since they all work for a living and are not insane that they are not members of the Democrat Party.
