I'm wondering if anyone is noticing...
in spite of all of the caution, the polling data moves forward in Harris' direction virtually every day. We must conclude that there's a ceiling somewhere, but looking at where numbers can go, i.e. undecided voters, newly registered voters which are piling up in some places, with the news media working hard at trying to keep this close for their own benefit, I think it's OK to have a few moments of optimism before our gun-shy caution and fear grips us again. Where does Trump get more support? No where that I can see. He doesn't seem to even be able to grasp that what he's doing is running marginal voters off, not adding to his support.
Not only do I not think Harris getting well past 300 electoral votes is a possibility, given past trends, Democratic electoral history since 2020, the misses and sputters of the polls and media, and the general observation of who is motivated and who is not, I think Harris is looking at 90 million votes and more than 350 electoral votes.

How easy they forget. Howard Dean anyone? He wasn't leading in the polls, but he shot himself in the foot with his infamous scream and the rest is history.

She might be leading in the polls right now but so was joe before the debate. The polls right now are just more advertising from the leftist MSM. :thatsright:

Where does Trump get more support?
He recently got endorsements from RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard who are both sick of how tyrannical the Democrat party has become.

I'll bet this is the reason for this false hope by the DUmmies:
You'll Be (Totally Not) Shocked to Learn Poll That Shows Kamala Up by Seven Points Is FAKE NEWS
The Hill is running with a breathless headline that a new poll shows Kamala Harris with a seven-point lead nationally.
Vice President Harris holds a 7-point edge over former President Trump nationally in a poll released Friday, marking the latest gain for the Democratic presidential candidate as the general election approaches.
The survey from from Fairleigh Dickinson University found Harris leading Trump nationally with 50 percent support to 43 percent, while 7 percent of respondents said they will vote for someone else. Trump and Harris fare equally well with voters from their respective party’s, each having 95 percent support from their partisans, pollsters found.
Pollsters noted race or gender played a large role in pushing Harris’s lead. When voters are asked to think about race or gender, Harris’s lead grows significantly, while support for her and Trump are virtually tied when they are not made to think about it, they said.
With independents who do not lean toward either party, Harris still leads Trump, but by a smaller margin, 38 percent to 33 percent, the poll found. Harris holds a large lead among self-identified liberals, 87 percent to 10 percent, along with progressives, 93 percent to 5 percent, and moderates, 62 percent to 30 percent.
~~~
First, it's meaningless because we have the Electoral College and not a national popular vote (thank goodness!), but some cursory digging -- ya know, the stuff journalists used to do -- shows the truth of this poll likes just beneath the surface:
This headline is completely untrue.
The FDU Poll actually found Trump with a 1-point lead until they pushed respondents with gender and race questions THEN RE-ASKED them for whom they would vote.
This may be the biggest polling scam of the cycle.
On Election Day the ceiling will be in the basement. Looking forward to seeing it. :-)
Hillary had a 12 point lead on 10/23/16 mere weeks before the election:
Hillary Clinton has a 12-point lead over Donald Trump and has reached 50% support nationally among likely voters, a new ABC News tracking poll shows.
