Sarah Palin on God:
GIBSON: You said recently, in your old church, "Our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God." Are we fighting a holy war?
PALIN: You know, I don't know if that was my exact quote.
GIBSON: Exact words.
PALIN: But the reference there is a repeat of Abraham Lincoln's words when he said -- first, he suggested never presume to know what God's will is, and I would never presume to know God's will or to speak God's words.
But what Abraham Lincoln had said, and that's a repeat in my comments, was let us not pray that God is on our side in a war or any other time, but let us pray that we are on God's side.
That's what that comment was all about, Charlie.

There. Fixed your incompetent editing skills, Charlie you ****wad!

Charlie is a tool. She did good though.

I'm waiting to see if Obama's questions are as pointed. Good questions, they need to be asked and answered by BOTH candidates.

She did better than Obama on O'Reilly, and Gibson was out for blood.

Darn good interview for Sarah. A couple places where he tried a dirty check (in hocky terms) and got pounded into the ice.
There was a lot of talk if Palin could handle an interview. She showed she could do a very good job with an interview like this.
Now lets see if Obama can handle as pointed an interview with someone like Hanity or VanSustren? Has he met either of them yet?
This will riase the rating for Gibson's show through the roof, as people will want to watch her do something like this. As far as I am concerned she scored on him several times.

I knew it. it was a minefield. one "gotcha" question after another. the MSM, after protecting obama
for 19 months, is out for Sarah's Blood.
did you know that ABCnews sent out the following newsalert during the interview?
Breaking News from ABCNEWS.com:
EXCLUSIVE: GOV. SARAH PALIN WARNS WAR MAY BE NECESSARY IF RUSSIA INVADES ANOTHER COUNTRY

oh, you would have thought that she had unilaterally declared war somehow, when in fact, all she did was take the same position that the three men in the race (more or less) have taken.
that is a sexist response from ABC, folks. on it's face.
-
I'm watching it on TV right now.
Charlie is a dick. That is all.

if they were out to expose Sarah as a neophyte before the kind of people that watch broadcast network news, they failed.
-
I want to knock Charlie's bifocals off of his face. Kudos to Sarah for not smacking him in the nose.
He kept interrupting. He was condescending and snide.

the MSM thinks that she is, as lincoln chafee said, a cocky whacko. no, a religious zealout cocky whacko, and they consider it their job to prove it. this will all come out in the wash. the MSM will actually help elect her president. they have already started the process.

Which is how white liberal men see people of color and women. Their ideology comes from their arrogance and bigotry. If you can put people inferior to you into office you never have to fear.

What about Obama? I seriously doubt Charlie would act this way around him. Someone would have to pry his lips from Obama's ass should he get an interview with him.

this is a strange date to have this... was there any explanation as to why they did it on 9/11?

the thing on fox was done on 9/11 intentionally. it was ostensibly a discussion about national service, which is connected to 9/11 in various ways. the Palin interview just worked out that way.

did either of the interviewers ask Barry, "so.. why are ya scared to debate the old man?" or ".. why cant you be on the same stage with him?"

I asked something similar to that on the VOICE option on CNN.com...but for some reason, they didn't use my question on air.... :uhsure:

ABC news is still at it. :whatever: this newsalert just came out:

EXCLUSIVE: GOV. SARAH PALIN SAYS SHE AGREES TO DISAGREE WITH JOHN MCCAIN ON DRILLING IN ALASKA, SOFTENS STANCE ON GLOBAL WARMING

Well, I just watched this through their video link and what a hostile interview. Gibson could have at least cracked ONE smile. It's so obvious he went in with a goal to trick her up....journalist my A$$!
-
Oh, and she was clearly annoyed and on to him....
-
Oh, and she was clearly annoyed and on to him....
I've got an idea that she didn't get the nickname "Sarah Barracuda" for nothing. yes, she got it in high school, but it was revived when she was Governor.
-
His "What do you think of the Bush Doctrine" was laughable... Libtards cringe when they think about american supremacy. They want us to play second fiddle to the UN. NOT gonna happen in a McCain/Palin white house...or any other republican white house for that matter.
One of the last lines in the Bush Doctrine...(and I'm paraphrasing..) has something along the lines of "American/Military supremacy will never be challenged as it was in the cold war. That we would act, unilitarally, if forced to, to protect american interest.
What's wrong with that again? Trying to scare the public with Bushisms.... :whatever:
-
I think I am going to put "I didn't blink" on t-shirts with her picture on it. :-)

correction. I think I am going to put "You Can't Blink" on t-shirts with her picture on it. :-)

Charlie Gibson looks more of a tool on camera than he does in print.
And that is saying a lot.
I think that interview will bump Sarah another point in the polls. Especially since the newsies were saying that she was afraid of doing any interviews. Amazing contrast with Obama. No ahs, ums or any digging in the dark parts of the mind for what she means to say. She is good.
-

Not a damned thing is wrong with that.

not to make a joke of dangerous weather, but I ran across this, and thought it made a pretty
great point. hurricane sarah should be pointed at washington, DC, though.
