Politics needs to be removed from the Democratic/Republican arena at this time in our history.
Instead, it needs to be put into the American/Patriotism arena, in my opinion.
Because, the Republican Party, who can be argued to have betrayed the American principle, have successfully divided this country into tribes, Democrats vs Republicans. They have nothing else to offer the American people - only lies and division.
They have betrayed the American people. They have betrayed all those real patriots that have fought and died for the freedom of Americans. They have discarded our democratic way of government and have embraced the authoritarian rulers around the world. It is not just their leader, Trump, it is all of them.
They have chosen to follow a leader that tears down America, by calling our country something worse than a "Third World country". He disgraces all of us on the world stage. He is an agent of chaos and destruction.
They have desecrated our flag by putting the image of their leader across the Stars and Stripes, even as they pretend to love America and the American flag. They are not patriots. They are not patriotic. They hate America.
It is time for the American people to stand up for their country over their Party. A lot of people have died fighting for this country and it is despicable the way these so-called MAGA Republicans are tearing it down.
Just my opinion.

Of all the many, many, many DU-members unqualified to yak about "removing politics" "from the Democratic/Republican arena", kt is one of the least qualified (even were MasterNematode not long gone).

They have chosen to follow a leader that tears down America, by calling our country something worse than a "Third World country".
It is democrats who have for years compared the US unfavorably to European countries and Canada, lamenting things they have that we don't, not to mention threatening to move to those countries.
