Got Some Good News
I'm cautiously reserved as to what this actually means but I did get a letter from Dept of Education about them processing my student loan forgiveness.
They will send something to my loan servicer on June 5th and the loan servicer will then start the process to forgive "some or all of my loans" is the key phrase. The
Despite paying, off and on, for years I still owe more than I actually borrowed, it currently sits at $116,000.
Hopefully it's the remaining balance or at least a good chunk of it.
I'll know more after June 5th. Wish me luck 😊

Seems to me it’s just highway robbery when folks like you somehow wind up owing more, sometimes WAY more, than what was originally borrowed.
Well I am sure it was explained that if you pay “on and off “ the interest eats up your payment :thatsright: :loser:
That is loan shark finance. I can't believe how long they've gotten away with it
It’s up to you to read and understand what you’re signing up for. If you’re not responsible for handling money it’s your fault and it’s not fair we have to pay for it. The loan is not “forgiven “ it’s just placed on the taxpayers to pay it off for you. :loser: :thatsright:

$116k? I highly doubt that DUmmy "Angrychair" has a medical degree, so you're now officially a worthless leech suckling on the teat of society.

1. Improvident people learn about the magic of compound interest in a different way than prudent productive people.
2. LIEden repeatedly flips off and mocks prudent productive people who actually paid off their student loans (which I did, decades ago).
3. What government subsidizes it gets more of.

I have to wonder if they feel the same way about people who don’t pay their taxes? You can end up owing more, sometimes WAY more than you originally owed. And DUmmies, the IRS doesn’t just get interest, they get penalties too!
The DUmmies wouldn’t be for forgiving this because most of them don’t pay taxes, they are the recipients of others taxes.
