JFC! This book is sitting on the desk of
the fifth grade teacher for whom I’m subbing: Rush Revere and the Presidency.

I'll give you a worse story. My daughter was assigned Atlas Shrugged to read in an AP literature class
I don’t see the problem. It’s a description of a socialist Democrat civilization the one your party is aiming for.
I guess you rather, she read a manual on BDSM or some gay perversions :thatsright: :loser: :loser:

I can understand why teaching American History as having heroes and nobility would PO DUpipo. That the series of books were authored by Rush would be like gasoline poured on DUpipo's burning hatred for America.

I'm kidding of course. I'm not suggesting that you should take it.

1. Just be honest DU-member progressoid, you suggested that the ironically named DU-member no_hypocrisy steal or destroy the books.
2. Back when my high school cafeteria had finished off the last of the frozen dinoburgers and was starting to serve frozen mastodon sliders, our English literature assignments frequently included dystopian novels such as 1984, Animal Farm, and Brave New World. IOW, dystopian novels have been ordinary in high school English classes for decades. Do very many DUpipo realize that 1984 and Animal Farm were anti Stalinist/Communist?

3. read them and see if there is something in there
that can get it banned. If there is report it.
Always, the first instinct for them is to BAN BAN BAN.

Always, the first instinct for them is to BAN BAN BAN.
Whatever leftists don't want to ban, they want to make mandatory.

If this nutter came into my classroom, they would have a heart attack. Gadson flag and Gonzalez flag on the wall, the Federalist Papers, books by Mark Levin, Michael Savage, El Rushbo (one of the Rush Revere books), Rand, Josh McDowell, Franklin Graham on my bookshelf, along with some books the moonbat would probably recognize and blow multiple fuses trying to understand how anyone could have opposing viewpoints represented, like The Best Democracy Money Can Buy (still slogging through that slowly) and several books I've gotten for free from some BLM adjecent/social justice organization (Zinn Education Project) who's mailing list I got on somewhere along the line.

Must suck to be that DUmmie. Someone teaching kids history and how to read and write and not one thing about kinky sex or a how to do what ever new perversion they can think of. Thoise kids might learn how the government works and have freedom of expression and vote for someone that won't turn this country into a real life version of "Demoliton Man"

It is a close race with MANDATE, MANDATE, MANDATE.
Both are sure signs of a fascist totalitarian.

They would be silent if it was sexually explicit.

Possibly even learn cursive writing!

What could possibly be in Rush Revere that could get it banned? :mental:

The truth of course.
- Socialism is wholely incompatible with the Constitutional Republic the Founders of this country established.
- George Washington was not a closeted homosexual.
- The Constitution wasn't actually written to purpetuate slavery. In fact, the notorious "3/5 clause" that leftists like to get their panties in a bunch over was put in place to LIMIT the political power of the slave holding states
- The last time the Dim'Rat Party tried to keep an opposition candidate off the ballot like they're currently attempting to do to The Donald, it led to the American Civil War.
But of course, we already know what all leftist loons want to do with thoughts they don't like...
