Not normally a Lounger, but this has me scratching my head....
So, my car insurance rates are freaking outrageous. My home owners insurance too. Not sure why they are so damned high. We don't not drive fancy or even new vehicles (the newest car is 5+ years old). I got quotes from other companies that are like 25%(!) of what I am paying my current company. Anyone else see stuff like this?

DUmmie must live in a high crime area or have a bunch of tickets and accidents.

1. Congress is allowing ins cos to run wild. Money talks.

Typical ignorant DUmmie who doesn't realize that insurance is regulated by states, not the federal government.

Kind of like blaming Trump for what states did in response to COVID.

I live in a very red state, in a very red county, in a small very red town and it's happening to me. My truck is a 20 year old F350 turbo-diesel. 4 Years ago when I bought it, full coverage was a little over $65 per month.

Last month it was $127.83.

Insurance goes up to pay for the illegals (and others) who don't have insurance so the insurance companies can pay for accidents.

I am subsidizing them...

I live in a white rural zip code that's mostly vacation homes and retired people. (Not many kids around.) Costs me $400/year for basic liability insurance. $75/year for motorcycle.
