Colorado Supreme Court disqualifies Trump from 2024 ballot, pauses ruling to allow appeal
Source: CNBC
The Colorado Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that former President Donald Trump cannot appear on the state’s ballots for the 2024 election due to his incitement of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, reversing a lower court ruling.
But the state Supreme Court stayed its ruling from taking effect until Jan. 4, “subject to further appellate proceedings.”

This makes me want to get into a shooting war with these ****s. You don't get to pick and choose who we support.

1st: It only pertains to the state's primary ballot because that's the only area that the state has authority over a Federal election.
"The secretary of state shall certify the names and
party affiliations of the candidates to be placed on any presidential primary
election ballots.”). And fourth, the petition alleged that the Secretary was about to
commit a breach of duty or other wrongful act under the Election Code by placing
President Trump on the presidential primary ballot because he is not
constitutionally qualified to hold office."
2nd: The decision will be overturned by the SCOTUS setting a national precedent ending this 14th amendment bullshit.

9. It will definitely motivate (Trump-supporters).
There was always a bit of a catch-22 here.
More like a 'catch-.44 situation now.

Between shit like this and their mainstream leftist scum reactionary anti-2nd Amendment positions, I'm starting to think that Colorado politicians LIKE getting smacked around by the USSC. It's kinda embarrassing living next door to such a skeevy, perv state.

Boy are they going to be disappointed. Perhaps if they read the actual decision instead of listening to what people who agree with their lunacy politically say about it...but nooo...that would too closely resemble sanity:

Note how that says 'if review is sought' rather than 'if review is granted'.
When they figure it out they'll be enraged. The heartbreak should be epic.

It's just baffling to me how anyone, left or right, would cheer something like this. Trump hasn't been convicted of anything. On one hand the DUmmies love to point out how an indictment is not proof of guilt when it is one of their heroes like a George Floyd, but in this case they're willing to use the malarky indictments against Trump as some kind of proof that he shouldn't be allowed to even run.
It shows just how afraid they are of Trump running against Quid Pro Joe! They know they can't win on policy so they just do all they can to remove the candidate.
Something like this should terrify everyone. This is the kind of stuff that could result in people in the streets with bang sticks.

That doesn’t matter to them, the media has already tried and convicted him, that’s good enough for them. :thatsright: :loser:

51. A quick question and devil's advocate...

If Trump has never been convicted of Insurrection against the United States, how can they disqualify him from the ballot for fomenting insurrection?

54. Because everyone knows he did it
::)
That thread is so gleeful...not a thought about precedent, legality, or abuse of power. Not to mention the crushing of democracy. Anyway, the Colorado GOP has said if this stands, they will drop out of the primary system altogether, and employ a caucus system instead. So the whole thing is moot, really.
