Federal buyback program (my 2 cents)
There is nothing stopping a funded initiative like this. Possibly under an executive order for emergency funding and a commitment to funnel profits from the gun industry (and lobbying/advertising links) back into it at some point. Will everyone participate without additional measures? Probably not if it’s voluntary, but a lot will in tight economic times like these, and it’s a start.

Got that pesky thing called the Second Amendment, DUmmies. I might go pick up an AR-style rifle this weekend, but maybe in a plinking caliber...

Mr mutant is filled with stupid!
First, no company will voluntarily turn over their profits to the government.
Certainly no politician is going to want to give up lobbying money
Also, no one is going voluntarily turn in their guns at a time when crime and the government is out of control.
And you can thank your party for ruining the economy And creating these tight times?

I don't think gun owners can be bought as easily as DU thinks.

I'll get on board with their buy "back" program, but I get to set the price... and DUmmies ain't gonna like it.
My AR's are far from my favorite rifles and I would do fine with a giant pile of cash in their place

Correct, matter of fact I’m thinking about a multi caliber suppressor right now

I've been itchin for years, but I refuse to do government forms, or at least I have to date.
But I'm REALLY considering getting a threaded MK IV Ruger and going through the process to get a suppressor. I just want one. I just have a real problem with ending up in an ATF file somewhere in order to get one. I've got nothing to hide, but it's just not right man

Don't forget you have to run a NICS background check on your potential buyer.
I really don't think that with a known history of domestic violence against its own citizens, any government entity could pass that background check.
Sale's a no-go if they try to buy that rifle you built in your garage, too. Any purchased gun has to have a serial number for the transfer to be legal.
And if they send in somebody with a clean record to buy that for them, it's your ass if you complete the sale to that strawman.
There's so many ways this proposal goes south on the DUm'Rats if it ever saw the light of reality. :fuelfire:  :cheers1:
