My Blog about Israel and Palestine
Hi all, my views on the conflict continue to evolve, and I wrote a blog about it. I want to share it with you and get your comments. The background part, of course, all of you know - it's for people who haven't been keeping up. I added some data different from what I posted on Monday, that might be of interest.
Please take a look.

I owe a sincere apology to the Jewish people in my life, my cousins, my friends. I did not realize that the devastation wrought by the Hamas terrorists on October 7th was so extreme, and so contrary to the "Rules of War”, i.e., that the fighting should be between armies, and not with civilians. Innocent people died on October 7th. At least nine hundred innocent people died, including children. And thousands more were injured. Over 100 were taken hostage. Israel has never experienced an attack of this nature in the 75 years of its existence – seventy-five years of being a Jewish state surrounded by Arab countries who passionately abhor their existence. Never has Israel been so caught unaware, so unprepared, so totally taken by surprise… and so horribly attacked. This is worse than any war they have seen since 1948. They are a country in mourning, as are Jews around the world who love Israel with all of their hearts.
Israel is also a country whose ability to go on the offensive as a form of defense is legendary. And I, like many pro-Palestinians, am afraid for those in Gaza who have to try to survive the wrath of Israel. Israel will not play, they will not negotiate. They are at war, supposedly with Hamas, but inescapably with the Palestinians. Once again.

Careful DUmmie. Lots of Jew haters at the DUmp.

Latest estimate by Israel is 224 hostages not 100.

The people who the Israelis gave 24 hours to leave, yet listened to Hamas? Those?

It seems college campuses are full of students who hate Jewish people too, that’s both sad and disturbing :argh:

And Hamas told the civilians they can't leave. Plus Egypt and Jordan, last I knew are keeping their boarders to Palestine closed.
Don't forget in the midst of all this, actual Hamas leaders are living the cushy, debauched life in Syria and Qatar, far away from those terrorists and civilians they are using like chess pawns.

From her blog:

Careful. There are a lot of Jew haters at DU.
One of her fellow primitives tries to warn her.
Lauren Wilson
I’ve thought about this. Hate towards me I will not tolerate, but justified opinions have a place here.
She knows how they are, but chooses to associate herself with Jew haters on DU because, you know, they're in agreement on other issues.
Every time we turn around they consistently prove what we have said about them to be true.

Not only are they racist, they’re anti Semitic, anti Christian, anti American and positivity filled with hatred. :thatsright:

Groups behind Israel-bashing protests backing Hamas attacks got $15M-plus from Soros
https://nypost.com/2023/10/28/news/soros-funneled-15-m-plus-to-groups-rallying-for-hamas/
Far-left billionaire kingmaker George Soros has funneled more than $15 million since 2016 to groups behind this month’s pro-Palestine protests, where demonstrators openly cheered Hamas militants’ craven terrorist attacks on Israel.
A Post examination of Open Society Foundations records shows Soros’ grant-making network gave $13.7 million of the money through Tides Center, a deep-pocketed lefty advocacy group that sponsors several nonprofits who’ve justified Hamas’ bloody attacks while claiming Palestinians obsessed with the eradication of the Jewish state are the real victims.
Tides’ beneficiaries include Illinois-based Adalah Justice Project, which on the day of the Oct. 7 massacre posted a photo on Instagram of a bulldozer tearing part of Israel’s border fence down and a caption: “Israeli colonizers believed they could indefinitely trap two million people in an open-air prison… no cage goes unchallenged.”
Members of the Palestinian advocacy group occupied California Rep. Ro Khanna’s office on Oct. 20 to demand he sign a resolution calling for ceasefire in Gaza. Adalah’s members also co-sponsored a rally that same day in Bryant Park where hostile demonstrators spewed antisemitic chants and waved a sign that read “I DO NOT CONDEMN HAMAS.”
George Soros has funded these anti-Semitic groups.
