The new DU (and the old was getting that way) reminds me of Idiocracy where about 80% of the TV screen was covered with ads.
There are so many ads trying to load on there it runs extremely slow. While they haven't squinched it down to a 20% viewing area yet, they are getting there.

The primitives have some nerve, complaining.
Here, out of the goodness of his own heart, Lord Marblehead EarlG gives them this really big playground where they can freely romp and cavort at no cost to them.
But then when he discombobulates the playground for a few minutes so as to clean the place up, pick up the litter, repair the busted things, the primitives bitch and moan and carry on as if Lord Marblehead isn't giving them all this free stuff.
If I were Lord Marblehead, I'd send each of the complaining primitives a bill for $25 or $50 or somesuch sum, and if the whiners didn't pay, I'd ban them.

I'm sure that when the dust is settled, Lord Marblehead is going to show post counts, because the primitives like them more than we do.

That's something I will never understand. They bitch and moan over there about conservatives, and they play the little game of acting like they know what we think and why, but we're right here. They can come over and straight up ask AND we have one of the nicest people one could ever hope to meet, right here on the board.
There have been only a few brave enough to wander over, and those tended to be the saner ones.

I'm not crafty enough of an eee-bil conservative to want to try my hand at running a mole on Skinner's Island - or am I, lurking DUm'Rats?? - so the UI at the DUmp isn't something I pay a lot of attention to.
