In democrat peoples republic of kalifornia if you EARN $50kper year you pay:

$6,300 federal income tax
$1,800 kalifornia income tax
$7,700 FICA tax
$1,875 unemployment tax (average)
----------
$17,675 in government taxes or 35% of your yearly pay.

Now that doesn't include sales tax, property taxes, fees, registrations, gas taxes, utility taxes, energy taxes (yep we got additional ones), alcohol taxes, cigarette taxes (if you smoke or vape), and I'm sure I'm forgetting some. No where are there corporate subsidies in that. And we are a one party, communist-democrat state. The best government that graft and cheating can make.

I think most Corp "subsidies" are mostly local and state freebies and since someone making 50K would probably never pay 4000 in state taxes I call BS.

If you pay state income tax, property tax, sales tax and other state fees that are essentially taxes $4 k isn’t unreasonable.
