Anybody else dealing with fellow Dems who complain about Biden's age?
My neighbor, a really good guy and a strong Democrat, is really upset with Biden and wants him to step down in favor of a younger Democrat; he looks too old and fragile. And he doesn't like Harris, considers her weak and unpleasant. He thinks that enough voters will see how weak Joe is physically that they will switch their votes or just stay home.
I gave him my best pitch (which I could barely express without screaming in his ear): the fate of democracy depends on our country having Biden lead us. Period.

Jeez, dude. It isn't Biden's age, it is his incompetence. I know plenty of folks in their 80's who are perfectly lucid. Lunch bucket Joe is missing a few sandwiches from said lunchbox.

:hi5: Precisely! Age is a number, and as AOC and Kammie amply and frequently demonstrate, does not equal competence or intelligence. That said, a lot of Dem Party leaders are getting up in age and of dubious mental competence. DU-folk should be very worried about the party's possible coming leadership void.

The OP is right about one thing, the fate of our country is in Biden's hands but I don't think the OP is of the same mind as I am about this.

I seriously cannot fathom how even a die-hard Democrat would just screamingly dismiss the idea of Biden being too old and needing to step aside in favor of new blood. Maybe try and come up with some logical argument to let Biden finish out a second term, going out on top, but to just jump to "SSCCREEEEEEEEE ONLY ALMIGHTY LUNCHPAIL JOE CAN SAVE DEMOCRACY!!!111!!!11!!" That is a scary level of brainwashing/take-whatever-the-powers-that-be-will-shove-up-your-butt-and-like-it.
Mind you, I doubt this interaction actually happened, like most DUmp tales, but the fact that the DUmp fly would even imagine the conversation like this...scary levels of delusion on multiple levels.

My twenty-something daughter has similar inclinations.
I just told her to be wary of "Biden's too old" as a right-wing talking point, and suggested she google "Biden accomplishments" and see what she thinks.
So after a week she still hasn’t found any accomplishments he’s done
