Electric Vehicle Company Heavily Promoted by Biden Admin Goes Bankrupt

Proterra, an electric bus manufacturing company promoted by the Biden administration, had everything it needed to succeed - and failed anyway.
As the Washington Free Beacon’s Chuck Ross reported:
Proterra cited "various market and macroeconomic headwinds" in a Chapter 11 filing on Monday, which came after the California-based firm cut hundreds of jobs earlier this year and restructured hundreds of millions of dollars in outstanding debt.
Proterra stood to rake in millions from Biden's infrastructure and green energy initiatives, the former of which included at least $5 billion in spending on electric buses alone. Biden's flagship climate bill, the Inflation Reduction Act, also includes spending to help cities convert from diesel buses to electric buses, a major incentive for companies like Proterra.
Proterra seems to have lacked quality and had a board member who was less than ethical:

Biden Admin Concedes No Evidence Behind Recommendation for 6 COVID Booster Shots a Year

President Joe Biden's administration concedes that there is no scientific evidence to support an apparent recommendation to receive as many as six COVID-19 booster shots in a year.
After Health Secretary Xavier Becerra, a Biden appointee, wrote in a social media post on Nov. 29, 2022, that people should get vaccinated “if it’s been over 2 months since your last dose,” the Functional Government Initiative (FGI) filed a Freedom of Information Act request for documents supporting the statements.
The watchdog organization then sued after the administration didn't comply with timelines laid out in the law.
The Epoch Times is editorially anti-Covid-vax, however:
1. Xavier Bacerra has zero medical education besides anything incidental to earning his BA in Economics and earning his JD. He's a lawyer and a politician, not anything medical.
2. Recommending a booster every 2 months was laughably absurd. For the terminally curious, I've not gotten a Covid booster because I saw no need. My Covid antibodies were off the test's chart high 7 months after my second (of two) doses of Pfizer. By the time my antibodies might have dissipated, the risk of Covid was plummeting, and I saw no actual need.
3. Stonewalling FOIA requests is LIEden MalAdministration SOP.

Shades of Solyndra, one of Barry's pet projects that also went bust after Barry shoveled taxpayer money toward that scam.

Photos Reveal Suspected Cartel Gunman Crossing the Border With Body Armor, Rifles
https://legalinsurrection.com/2023/08/photos-reveal-suspected-cartel-gunman-crossing-the-border-with-body-armor-rifles/
Fox News published pictures of possible cartel gunmen crossing the border with body armor and rifles.
But don’t call it an invasion:
Law enforcement sources tell Fox that the three men were spotted on Saturday evening by cameras in the Fronton area and were seen carrying rifles and wearing body armor as they move through the brush.
Border Patrol agents, including the agency’s BORTAC tactical unit, were deployed to the area but found nothing. It is the same area where law enforcement arrested five suspected members of the Northeast Cartel in June.
The latest incident came just days after Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) drone operators in Eagle Pass spotted an armed smuggler in Eagle Pass carrying a long gun and guiding a group of illegal immigrants across the Rio Grande.
In that instance the man made it back to Mexico, authorities said.
Very troubling.
