Illinois sheriffs brace for fallout of ‘America’s most dangerous law’ after state supreme court ends cash bail

Sheriffs in southern Illinois say they are bracing for more crime and more victims that result from the end of cash bail across the state.
"Folks who live here are extremely concerned," Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon told Fox News. "It's an experiment on the backs of victims of crime. I have serious concerns and so do the people that live here."
On Tuesday, the Illinois Supreme Court ruled in favor of eliminating the state's cash bail system. The ruling takes effect Sept. 18, making Illinois the first state to fully abolish cash bail.
Under the new law, judges across Illinois will not require those charged with a crime to post bail in order to be released from jail while they await trial, unless the judge determines them a threat to the public or a flight risk.
Illinois is a state in decline. They have dug a deeper hole.

I can’t believe that they are that stupid. They see the effect of this decision in other states and cities.
They are hell bent on destroying society. They need to be held accountable.

Well, it worked so well in NY, why not do it in IL?

In my travels to more northerly climes, I often have to travel through Illinois - well, it's not a requirement, but I don't want to add more miles than necessary.
So I have a policy.
First of all, I carry at least one firearm. Back in the not-too-distant-past, Illinois would allow that for out-of-state travelers, but you were forced to have the firearm sans ammo in a locked box away from the driver. A separate locked box for ammo and magazines.
The height of stupidity.
But even the lawmakers in Illinois are capable of recognizing how stupid they are and they rescinded that policy/law. Now, they allow out of state non-residents to have a loaded firearm within a vehicle, but not to allow the owner to remove that firearm from the vehicle. OK, fine. What happens when DeShawn Thugg decides to rob the convenience store I'm visiting to buy a bottle of water and download previously-ingested water and food? Answer - become a victim of DeShawn Thugg. This is, of course, not acceptable.
So I make it a practice of first, never buying ANYTHING in Illinois. No water, food, gasoline, nothing. AND, I will take every opportunity possible to download all of my excretions to their sewer systems.
Hey, it's the least I can do! :-)

Doing a “download “ that sounds so much more civilized than taking a dump! :-)
-
Proof that no matter how bad something is, it can always be made worse.

You didn't even mention the tollways, which former Governor's said would be gone by now in the Land of Lincoln. And that's on you George Ryan, Rod Blagoveich, and J.B. The prices have only gone up and expanded.
And I recall heading back from Milwaukee once and stopped to relieve myself at the Rock Falls/Sterling exit on the I-88 Tollway. I wasn't dropping rocks, if you catch my drift.

Ah, yes, the infamous tollways. I avoid those like the plague too, but there was a short leg north of Rockford on I-90 that I couldn't dodge.
Tollways serve themselves. The money used goes for electronic snooping devices (cameras), the bureaucrats who sit around and lord it over all drivers who are forced to use the so-called "I-Pass" which is nothing more than government extortion, and the rest of the electronic systems they use today.
Gone are the little baskets you could drop (or throw) your change in every 5 miles or so on the I-94 thruway. Somehow those weren't quite as infuriating as the current snooper system.
I escaped Chicagoland in 1999 and only return when I absolutely have to, and that is never to visit family as I have none there. Nope, just to pass through, leaving a bit of me behind, of course. :whistling:

The simple solution is to not arrest them, just shoot them and dump them in a dumpster behind the nearest 7 - 11 :-)
