As with just about anything, the DUmmies have it all wrong.
Kindness and intelligence have no relationship.
In fact, the person who may be most kind to you, who does what is best for you, is frequently the one that lays the brutal honest unpolished truth on you, irrespective of how you may feel about it.
That is what actually matters, everything else is a distraction intended to serve a purpose.

I was telling Mrs. SVPete yesterday that, for whatever reason, I have seen few women in engineering positions here in Silicon Valley over the past 45 years or so. Further, only one of those I have seen was of European rather than East Asian heritage. For whatever reason, American women of European heritage are choosing professions other than engineering (similarly with Hispanics and blacks, BTW). I should add, for the sake of DU onlurkers, that the companies for which I've worked or observed hire engineering people for their talent, not their ethnic heritage or reproductive plumbing.

Goobernor Corpulent Pritkzer comes from a long line of trust-fund old money Gulfstream Guevara's. Much like many Illinois and Democrat politicians who have no real life experience in the business world, 99% couldn't even comprehend a balance sheet from an income statement. They hate people, but they love money. His sister was Obummers's Commerce Secretary and she's quite a moonbat.
