Title: Stories & Opinions Worth Knowing but Maybe Not Quite Threadworthy 6/7
Post by: Eupher on June 07, 2023, 08:56:51 AM
I'm surprised that this hasn't been posted yet.

Robert Hanssen, infamous FBI traitor and spy for the Soviets, was found dead in his cell in the Supermax prison in Florence, CO on 5 June. (Actually, he wasn't found "dead" - he was found "unresponsive" which is the same thing. Why do these morons do that? But I digress.)

The secrets that Hanssen sold to the Soviets paint him as one of, if not THE worst, spies in American history.

He was sentenced to 15 life terms without the possibility of parole in 2002.

His Wiki article says he was 79 and that his death is believed to be from natural causes.

[snip]

I would offer the deeds of John Walker and his family as AT LEAST as damaging to national security, but that in no way means that I'm less than absolutely giddy knowing that the scumbag Hanssen has finally ceased to be a burden on the backs of the American Taxpayer. Hope he's enjoying his latest reception and the commencement of his long-delayed just rewards.

There were several turds in that punchbowl, no doubt, Walker certainly one of the floatiest. Another one, perhaps not so bad - Jonathan Pollard, who disclosed secrets to the Israelis, South Africa, and Australia. .

A Maryland Democrat said Muslim families have sided with “white supremacists” for speaking out against LGBTQQIAAP2S+ materials being taught in the classroom.

The comment came from Democrat Kristin Mink, a member of the Montgomery County Council for District 5, during a school board meeting on Tuesday night.

“This issue has, unfortunately, does put… some Muslim families on the same side of an issue as White supremacists and outright bigots,” said Mink. “I would not put you in the same category as those folks, although, you know, it’s complicated because they’re falling on the same side of this particular issue.”

According to Fox News, she made the comment after “Muslim children from the district spoke out against their parents’ inability to opt them out of lessons they deemed violated their faith.” Mink further argued that Muslim parents have no right to opt their children out of textbooks highlighting LGBTQQIAAP2S+ issues.

Now, I’m no constitutional scholar – I only play one here at HotAir – but this sure looks above board and copasetic to me…when I have my Democratic Party power-grab glasses on.
...
Illinois’s Gov. J. B. “Jumbo Burger” Pritzker signed himself a whale of a state law yesterday that went into effect IMMEDIATELY. And, immediately, restricted Illinois citizens from pursuing constitutional claims against their state government unless they filed the lawsuits in one of two, Democratic approved, state sanctioned, Democratic counties – Cook or Sangamon.

So, if you live in any other county, you are a second class citizen of IL.

Feds Raid Office of Texas Border Sheriff Known for Downplaying Mexican Cartel Influence

Federal authorities raided the headquarters of a Texas border sheriff’s office whose top official is widely known for claiming that the border is safe. The sheriff frequently minimizes cartel activity even though one of Mexico’s most violent criminal organizations operates in his county.

On Monday, agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigations raided the Webb County Sheriff’s Office in Laredo, Texas. The Laredo Morning Times first reported on the raid. Breitbart Texas contacted an FBI spokesman who confirmed that they executed court-authorized law enforcement activities at the building but could not provide additional details.

The United Independent School District in Laredo issued a prepared statement confirming that a second raid had taken place at their offices in connection with Disinfect Promaster. That company is owned by Web County Sheriff’s Office Assistant Chief Ricardo “Rick” Rodriguez. The assistant chief also serves as a board member in the school district. In response to the raid, the school board stated that they did not have the authority to remove Rodriguez, but they would be meeting this week to discuss the issue.

By Monday afternoon, the Webb County Sheriff’s Office sent out a prepared statement claiming that the case was also tied to Rodriguez and Disinfect Promaster.

Webb County Sheriff downplays the border problem. They have their own legal problems centering around Web County Sheriff Assistant Chief Ricardo ‘Rick’ Rodriguez and Disinfect Promaster.

Waiting on the lawsuits - so far, haven't read about any.
