....'cause tonight I need a friend...
If that's you tonight, let's have a group hug.
It's me.
Family drama. My daughter, an ordained minister, has done the most cruel thing to her developmentally delayed sister. Emotionally abusive and mean. Shockingly manipulative. She was trying to hurt me. She did, but she also revealed a dark and troublesome potential. Narcissism, for sure (we knew that) but also willingness to scheme and lie and create drama and trauma. While I was coming home after two weeks in hospital and rehab, older daughter ransacked the apartment where younger daughter and I have lived for twelve years, grabbed stuff and took DD daughter 200 miles away, and has cut off all communications. ALL communications. She told DD daughter that I had "stolen" her life.
Why? Why? 1. Older one loves being thought a rescuer. It's powerful to be a rescuer. It's a facet of narcissism for some -- a Messianic complex. 2. She was angry with me because I got BETTER and didn't need rescuing myself. She was gaslighting me for weeks about this and that. On the very day I went home, better, she went berserk with this scheme.
Again, this is an ordained Unitarian minister.
Thanks for listening. I'm very, very sad. I sent a box of chocolates to younger daughter for her birthday -- the package was refused. All communication is shut off.
:mental:
something similar happened to an acquaintance of mine, she was being given almost 3000/mo by the state for her nephew over fifteen years ago And an "ordained Unitarian minister" isn't really a minister at all certainly not a Christian one.

"Train up a child ..." works in both ways.
"Again, this is an ordained Unitarian minister." :stoner:-wire ain't enjoying the reaping of what she sowed, and what she's reaping probably isn't a standard of excellence. But sowing and reaping.
Did I understand from that whi-i-i-i-i-iiiiiine correctly that :stoner:-wire was in rehab? Recreational chemicals? Physical injury? Stroke?

Well, I'm not pleased with it.

Being a contemporary of CalPeg and the sparkling old dude "Stinky the Clown," Judy's pretty old.

I found it amusing how many of the primitives at this thread equated "Unitarians" with "fundies."
It shows how much the primitives know about those things they hate most.

DU-folk are not renowned for their knowledge of Christian and Christian-related history or beliefs. The time frame when the Fundamentalist Movement was beginning is when the Unitarians and Universalists merged. U-Us and Fundamentalists are soteriological, Christological, and moral polar opposites, and U-Us' main or only knowledge of the Bible is what they reject. I've been joking for nearly 5 decades that U-U churches have more believers in UFOs than believers in a god that is a person rather than a vague force. The joke might have been hyperbole in the 70s, but probably true now.

UU's are absolute moonbats.
That's quite a tale that Judy has there. Wonder what details she might be leaving out?
