I saw on PJMedia that today is the 10th anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing. As I noted in the Chat Box, the 2023 running is this coming Monday, and I have a couple of FB friends running it.I thought it would be interesting to see how DU-folk viewed the bombing, so I rooted back through the Cave's record of this forum. Obviously, there probably were some threads sympathetic to the families of those killed and for those injured that didn't get brought over, but what did shows what kind of A-holery defines DU:

If there was a thread about it, it didn't get rowed over, but apparently some DU-folk were convinced early on the bombing was an anti-tax protest. As for Alex Jones' CT it was a false-flag incident (noted in a couple of DU threads), A-holes gotta A-hole.

Skimming thru those old threads is something else. The level of stupidity at the DUmp seems to always run at peak performance. Couple that with accusations, falsehoods, and self-hatred of whites, its a doozy of a place.
My favorite DU phrase though, "not jumping to conclusions... but..", and yet goes on to blame Conservatives.

Wait, I forgot about his friend Scott Ritter.
His views at that time are summarized in War on Iraq: What Team Bush Doesn't Want You To Know a 2002 publication which consists largely of an interview between Ritter and anti-war activist William Rivers Pitt.
Ritter was the subject of police sting operations for sex crimes in 2001 and 2009, and was convicted of sex crimes involving a minor in 2011.

There were about 5,000,000 people, approximately, in that vast metropolitan area potentially victims of the bombers. So there was maybe a 5-in-1,000,00 chance, if that many, one of them was anybody the Bostonian Drunkard knew by at least their first name, pretty slim odds.
The Bostonian Drunkard was obviously scavenging for sympathy, "Boo-hoo, sob, sob, I just lost one of my best friends....."

At any given moment, from when the first runners arrive near the start to the last finishers leaving, there are probably 100K-150K runners, family/friends, and spectators somewhere along the Boston Marathon course (25K-30K being runners). Given WRP's social and recreational (decreational?)habits, I kind of doubt he had friends doing or spectating the 2013 Boston Marathon.
