Young couple's shocking story of being nearly $1 million in debt goes viral: 'Absolutely INSANE'

Quote
A video depicting a young woman calling into financial adviser Dave Ramsey’s radio show asking for help trying to pay off her and her husband's near $1 million in debt went viral on Twitter this week.

The video, recently posted to Ramsey’s TikTok, captured the 2018 exchange between a 29-year-old woman and the adviser, during which she asked him how to get rid of the couple's huge debt "without filing bankruptcy."

The woman indicated that the majority of their massive debt was from personal credit card bills and student loans. She mentioned that both of them had advanced degrees, for which they owe more than a third of their total debt.

This is from 2018. A couple is in a million dollar debt. Debt like this should be a four letter word.

Student loans of maybe $600K for both of them, a couple of new cars, maybe a mortgage, I can see this happening for those millennials that bought into the "gotta have a graduate degree" garbage.

I couldn't read the article because I refuse to submit to Fox News' demand to allow their ads on my computer, so I'm wondering if this dipshit millennial is fishing for student loan forgiveness.

What the scrunt needs to do is buckle down, go to work, and WORK her way out of this debt madness that SHE and her dipshit husband signed on to do.

So it seems they spent over $330,000. For degrees to bring home $230,000. That’s a little over $115,000 each. A good welder or plumber could make that much with no student loans.
I don’t see how they could rack up over $100,000 in credit card debt  :thatsright: :loser:

First rule of holes: When you find yourself in a hole, STOP DIGGING.

My ancestors and the next ten generations of my descendants would come forth from the spirit plane to beat the ever-loving shit out of me had I ever been so stupid as to go so deep into hock.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Serious case of conspicuous spending.
