Just saw that Kid Rock video of him shooting beer cans.
Was that rifle fully automatic?
No way he could pull the trigger that fast.

2. One can legally own a pre-1986 machine gun if registered via NFA
They tend to be pricey as regular folk can (eta: NOT) purchase machine guns made after 1986 amd collectors keep raising the prices.

6. It's not a rifle, but it is fully automatic.
It's an MP5 submachine gun, sometimes called a "machine pistol." It has a short barrel and fires a 9mm handgun round. It is legal by Federal law to own a full-auto weapon, but it must be approved and registered by the ATF. State laws can ban possession outright, and many do.
Legal possession is a complex and expensive process. It's possible that Kid Rock has successful completed it, but it's also possible that he's shooting a rental at an established range or in the presence of the owner.
And yes, Kid Rock is a major asshole.

19. you can buy a full auto gun in most states
you have to get a license from the atf which costs $200, undergo a background check and then have the application signed by the chief law enforcement authority in your area
since only pre 1986 automatic weapons can be bought they are very expensive. usually 30k and up
