Possibly premature to organize a mass movement based on a DRUDGE blurb (re MSNBC)
There is no story link I can see. Just this blurb from Matt Drudge:
"MSNBC drops Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews from anchor chair... David Gregory will anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night.... Developing..."
http://www.drudgereport.com /
It is probably true. I don't have reason to doubt it. But you might want to wait a half hour, just to see the actual story.
Or not.
I'm not telling anyone what to do, just noting the fact.

Apparently, the embarrassing behavior of Keef and Matthews covering the conventions was too much for the grownup socialists at MSNBC. Any reduction in Keef's role will cause some really comical outrage at the DUmp.

25. Gregory is SUCH A HACK!! I am SO UPSET! Keith is the best-- and I've always stood by MSNBC bc of him
I'm so thoroughly disgusted.
I wonder how Chris and Keith are taking this-- they ought to be pretty pissed. Don't they anchor 2 of the top rated evening news commentary shows? Don't they have something to argue with?
How will I survive election night?

Didn't MSNBC Boast Top Primary Nights Coverage?
Advertisements [?]
I believe they ended up being #1; so you can sure as hell fill in the blanks. No network takes a "winning" team and dumps it so that it can end up on the bottom of the ratings. In a word, corporate America said "you put them on and bye, bye advertisement". The putting Pres. McCain in the White House is just beginning. Obama will be a footnote to history in about 4 weeks. You are not going to ever get your country back from the people who own it..ever! We are the peons and they are the "money".

Here’s some cable/broadcast viewer data and historical/competitive comparisons about the McCain speech and the Republican National Convention last night. I’ll be posting the complete cable news data momentarily.
MCCAIN SPEECH 10-11:15PM
FOX NEWS – 9.2 MILLION
NBC – 8.7 MILLION
ABC: 6.0 MILLION
CBS: 5.3 MILLION
CNN – 4.8 MILLION
MSNBC — 2.5 MILLION
McCain and Palin’s speeches tied to mark FOX News Channel’s highest rated convention telecasts in both FNC’s history AND in cable news history.
McCain’s speech is tied for FNC’s third highest telecast in its history along with Gov. Sarah Palin’s on Wednesday night (9.2 million viewers) – these were only bested by the Presidential address on the eve Iraqinvasion on 3-19-03 (9.7 million viewers) and a Bush/Kerry presidential debate on 9-30-04 (9.5 million viewers).
Nearly ¼ of the 38.9 million viewers watched this speech on FOX News.
FNC’s primetime average last night of 7.4 million viewers was the highest rated primetime convention coverage in the network’s history and marked the third highest rated primetime ever for FNC……only eclipsed by election night 2004 (8.2 million viewers) and the Bush-Kerry Presidential debate on 9./30/04 (7.5 million)
FNC beat CNN & MSNBC combined for the speech from 10-11:15pm and in prime-time
And for Obama's speech
The final night of the Democratic Convention, featuring Obama’s speech, lifted CNN to wins in prime-time for viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 35-64. What is likely to be a rare trifecta after this week for them.
The 10-11pm hour featured monster ratings for all the cable newsers. CNN topped out at 8.056 million viewers winning the hour and besting its broadcast competition.
P2+ Total Day
FNC – 1,359,000 viewers
CNN – 1,503,000 viewers
MSNBC – 849,000 viewers
CNBC – 204,000 viewers
HLN – 312,000 viewers
I chuckled. I felt badly about it. Such delusions should not be the source of humor for others. (Bullshirt!)

I wonder if this embarassing exchange during the convention had anything to do with it.

Even when they're all showing the same thing, MSNBC still winds up at the bottom of the heap. I think Telemundo had a bigger audience that night.

Lordy! I watched all 8:49...I had no idea! You could practically hear the squishy noise of the AnalGlide Lubricant in use.
I was laughing throughout knowing that all that gush and panting and hyperpromise was all for nothing. The next day, it all meant nothing. No one even remembered Obama gave a speech the night before. Sarah Palin sucked every bit of all that enormous energy right out of the atmosphere.
Maybe he is John McBrilliant.

It could have something to do wit h KO trying to step outside of his job description and try to tell his bosses what and who is in charge there (KO) and how things were going to run. Tonight his stupid ass was on NBCs football tonight so that made it not worth watching till they went to the game.
-
I don't think keef and tweety had the right kind of knee pads and/or they used teeth on Teh Obama.

Oh wow.
Skins's island is exploding.
Two pieces of bad news for the primitives; this, and the latest Gallup poll.
The island's rocketing, but this isn't the Great Discombobulation yet, that I guessed is going to happen.
But it's quite a double discombobulation.

Yep. Keith's mouth got him in trouble.

oberman was a marginal sports guy here in L.A. a few years ago.
Why is it sports guys think they are equipped to handle grown-up news? We also have al martinez here at the l.a. times and he is more of a stupid libtard than the prtentious (and unfunny) oberman.

I wish they'd drop Olbermann TIED to an anchor in about 50 fathoms of lamprey-infested water. I can't stand his smug and gradually-fattening mug.

True, but I figure they can get the taste out of their raspy little mouths on a rotting whale carcass, so they'll get over it. They're pretty resilient little bastards.

LOL I could only watch about half of it. I agree with your analysis.

I wish they would have kept them on. Now it'll be the same liberal gushing over the Dem and rebuke of the Republican but with the subtle obviousness of the partiality rather than the over-the-top worship.

KO helped Maddow her job and he get's canned. Hope he doesn't steal her luggage.

notice in the OPs story, Brian Williams and Tom Brokaw would not give them a comment? They were both embarassed at KO and Mathews coverage?
thats pretty significant right there. :-)
