Suddenly, MSNBC is full of DOJ second-guessers today. I have a theory.

The network is trying to squeeze as much as they possibly can out of the "what took him so long" narrative before it becomes irrelevant.

Apparently this theme is a ratings magnet, and the network is taking advantage of this resource while it is still available.

Methinks the corporate honchos at Comcast have determined that things are about to change.

1. I said to a friend recently...

Fox gets ratings through election deniers.
MSNBC gets ratings through trashing Garland.

2. Honestly, I doubt it helps ratings. The frusration is out there and while I believe the work

is proceeding with all due diligence, anticipation unanswered constantly does create stress, frustration, and ultimately tuning out when any outcome seems continually delayed.

So, no. I see no likely purposeful manipulation of programming. At all. If anything that might be driving people to tune out, as most unfulfilled expectations do.

6. That Theory Makes No Sense

If the "corporate honchos" think things are about to change, why wouldn't they want to position the network to be on the right side of things? Seems kind of stupid to take the position that DOJ is not doing shit, only to be proven wrong in short order.

If indictments are on the horizon, MSNBC would want to be out in front of the story. Not criticizing DOJ & Garland, and look like they were caught completely off guard.

10. The corporate honchos are not interested in being on the right side of things.

Or being in front of the story. It doesn't keep the ratings up. Drama and suspense do that. As far as drama is concerned, speculating on the DOJ is a sure thing in attracting audiences, and jumping in front of the story or being on the right side of things hold no promise of being as suspenseful. Changing the narrative from more suspenseful to less suspenseful never bodes well for the ratings.

It is the matter of keeping going while the going is still good.

Example

Who knew Roy Cohn Helped Rupert Murdoch launch a New York Newspaper ownership in the 1980s?

Who knew Roy Cohn helped elect Ronald Reagan by collecting huge donations?

Well also along with some help from Murdoch’s new New York daily rag?

And we all know Roy Cohn was behind Donald Trump’s shenanigans.

So why would it be a stretch to suspect that Rudy Colludy wasn’t the sparkling clean Altar Boy when he ran for New York Mayor?

New Yorkers know.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The MSM lies to them, and they just keep right on watching...and they worship the worst of the worst like cnn and mslsd.

Can anyone translate lib-turd to English considering I don't watch PMSNBC? Was consumed watching the NCAA basketball tournament yesterday and will be today, so I honestly don't know what has the libs collective panties in a bunch today or any given day.

It seems some media personalities may be insufficiently committed to the cause, "second-guessing the DOJ", and the OP is trying to figure out how this could be.

Basketball ceased to be a sport 10 years ago.  The fundamentals are long lost - forever.
