It's dawning on me
That $108.00 is not enough for me to eat for an entire month.
Can't just buy cheap carbs to eat because I am diabetic. And real food is too expensive.
What am I going to do?
I am so pissed off.
Who in their right mind thinks that this is okay?
With inflated food costs who thinks 108 dollars is enough money to eat for a month.
Why did the dems not carve out money for a food stamp increase before killing the pandemic funds? Why do they even bargain with my sanity,health and survival with republican psychopaths?
Before the pandemic I got around $ 190 dollars a month in food stamps.
Food is way more expensive now than what it was in 2019.
Why is it ok for us disabled people who are
deliberately kept destitute already to get food stamps cut even lower than they were before the pandemic?
I am so stressed out and no one to choke.

Ya know, I look at these posts from the smartest people on the internet and notice if they aren't already on the SSDI, food stamp, gov't benefit gravy train, they're trying to figure out how to get on it, or, how to soak it for more..
I guess they want people to vote dem so they too can get on the gravy train, then vote for dems to continue throwing them crumbs..then vote in their "best interest" to continue on the train..
I also notice a dearth of posts of people there applying for jobs...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...I crack myself up..

Was a nightmare .I know what you mean too many churches out here are conservative or evilgelicals which are patronizing mean and pushing jesus on you which triggers me so bad I cant stand being around them long enough to get the food "reward" and listen to thier bullshit because my anxiety and anger goes through the roof. Cptsd can do that to you.

Like they say, and it's true - the cruelty is the point.
$108 is obviously not enough to feed anyone for a month and it's ridiculous to pretend otherwise.
If you had a GoFundMe or similar, I would give what I could - but this is a systematic problem. There are so many crowdfunding campaigns for people just trying to get food and meds to survive, and if we were just a little bit better as a country, it wouldn't be so necessary.
Clearly the Island Inhabitants havent learned, with the likes of our buddy MVD, that GFM's dont solve anything. How many times have these eager beavers been back to the well? Too many times. Thats how many.

After posting this, I started thinking... could a miserable human eat for $108 per month? Turns out, yes! Its not going to be Haute' Cuisine, but its better then the suggesting of hunting mice and snakes, as suggested by ABC-2 up above.
So, I went to Walmarts website, UGP has commented about shopping there in the past, and decided to see what I could acquire for $108. To last a month.
Dried Beans - 8 Lb. bag for about $7, 104 servings.
Jasmine Rice (might as well get decent rice) - 5 Lb. for about $7, 45 servings.
To keep this simple, for the lurking loons, buy 1 bag of beans, 2 bags of rice. That should cover your bases. Eat rice and beans for each meal, and your all set. It will cost you $21. Dang, you have about $87 left over. But, UGPs dwelling will start to smell retched, so lets get some other goodies.
Frozen Veggies - 52 Ounce bag for about $7, 13 servings.
Get 2 bags. Stretch the serving size a bit, it will last all month. So 14+21=$35. Still got $73. Give or take.
Eggs - 60 eggs for $12. Can have 2 eggs per day. $35+$12=$47. Still got $61
Peanut Butter. Peter Pan Brand, because thats the best and thats a hill i will die on. Anyways, About $6, 35 servings. Enough for the month. $47+6=$53, and you still have $55.
Bread - Store Brand. $2 per loaf. Buy 2. That should last all month. $53+$4=$57, leaving you $51
Jelly - Strawberry. $5 for 32 ounces. Should be enough for the month. Leaving you $46
Apple Sauce - $3 for 46 ounce jar. Only 11 servings so buy 3. Your down to $37
Coffee - Store Brand. $10 for 48 ounces. You still have $27
Powdered Creamer - $7 for 500 servings. You have $20.
Pick up a couple condiments, a small bottle of oil, and some salt and pepper.
Dont know how your going to carry it all home, but your welcome. :-)

Take out the internet access and/or stupid cellphone phone costs and any others unnecessary money drains, add that to the food fund.

Ya know, when I retired and went on a fixed income, the first thing I did was cut out every single expense that didn't HAVE to be there.
People are surprised how much they spend when it's $5, here, $5 there, $10 here and so on. Cut that out and you now have food for a week or more without any impact to your life and unnecessary expenditures are out the window.

I have come to understand that there is a difference between a list of bills to pay and an actual budget. The list method doesn't care if you have the funds to live below your means, it just helps you avoid an overdraft. And it doesn't always avoid that thing. The budget method assigns a task for every dollar. We discovered this 5 years ago, that in order to put a few dollars into savings for the future, we needed to check our spending to a level that is below our income. No, not even with our income level or above our income level, rather below our income.
Another thing we quickly discovered, one of the best ways to help you to get out of debt is to simply stop borrowing money. When I think of all the money I wasted being stupid it makes me sick. When I look at how much our situation has improved since we stopped the bleeding and started acting like adults with our money, it makes me happy.
We made it a priority to pay off a car loan early, a 60 month note we paid off in 26 months. At 1.9% APR a few of my friends told us we were crazy to pay this off early the thinking that it is almost free money and could be used to better effect now in our lives. I didn't take that advice, paid it off as quickly as we could and now we actually own the car, not having joint ownership with a bank where the bank has the legal right to take it from you for literally a $1.00 unpaid balance.

in all honesty, I do find the video a bit grungy for my tastes. The song, on the other hand, whoa...
And for no good reason I'll tell the story.
The band called "Probot" wasn't a regular band as we generally know them. It was just an album project done by Dave Grohl (Nirvana/Foo Fighters), he's the drummer in the video. Lemmy (singer) was the founder of a band called Motorhead. Dave Grohl got various artists from a bunch of different bands and mixed them all up on different songs on the album that he wrote. Lemmy just did this one song.
the girls in that video are from some sort of modeling outfit called "SuicideGirls". They appear to be some sort of nudie tattoo sleeze models or something like that. I don't know the entire story, but some friend of a friend apparently convinced Dave Grohl to put them in the video and just do whatever thing they wanted, and this was the result.

As RuralNC pointed out, $108 is indeed enough to buy decent food for a month, as long as you don't have too picky tastes and are a smart shopper. But, I'm sure UGP insists on only the best, fanciest food paid for entirely by our tax dollars.
For the suggestions many here have made that UGP should just get a job, while that does make sense, bear in mind that this is UGP we're talking about: An incredibly whiny, lazy, narcissistic, hate- filled, hotheaded, mind- bendingly selfish person with no people skills at all (Especially people who he/she/it/whatever disagrees with on any matter, such as Christians and conservatives). He/she/it/whatever would be fired from pretty much any job in less than a week, assuming that he/she/it/whatever didn't quit before then because "It's so hard, and the people there are all so mean! I'm going to pray to my cat- goddess Sekhmet to strike down all of them!".
