What is he a Christian or Muslim, does he even know?
-
He really is an idiot isn't he?

I don't give a flying fig Ooooobama. Just come out with it. What is there to hide? If you really believe in the freedoms our country was founded on, then stand up and proudly claim your religion - whichever one it may be.
-
To be fair - this does seem to me to be out of context - though I will also say that listening to the whole interview segment it does come off as a freudian slip.
Now the quote about not joining the military because there was no active combat at the time -- that's worth pursuing further.

He's doing his whiny way of speculating as to why McCain hasn't brought up the Muslim issue:
"...that I'm, that I'm, that I'm a Muslim..."
He likes to be accused of being a follower of Islam, so he can play the victim again. He just misspoke here, George S was quick to help him. ::)
I think it's noteworthy that they were both in a barn.

I really don't think that there is much difference between islam and Christianity in his mind, he's come quite close to admitting that.
That's the real issue.

It was a damn good thing there was a muck rake at hand...

I think the man is too egomaniacal to believe in any god but himself. If he believe himself to be a god, that means he has never watched a tape of one of his interviews. His speech "irregularities" is reminiscent of a character from "Slingblade".

good point. I suppose he takes an interest in other religions to see best how to refine himself as a god.

The fact that he stumbled on "my christian faith" rather than "my muslim faith" is quite telling.

At the very least, it demonstrates how he's fixated on what was up til now a silly campaign non-issue.
