When it rains it pours. I really need the help of DU desperately.

I have been struggling since my husband passed a year ago. My husband was my caregiver, he took care of me. Now I have a 19 year old autistic son and 3 cats who depend on me to be healthy, take care of them. I promise, I have been trying. I have lost a whole person in weight and can now do a lot more for myself and for my son. I'm on SSDI, it's my only income though I was working with an agency called aging and disability to help me find a job but I have had some medical set backs in the last couple of weeks. Complications from weight loss surgery has caused issues with my vagus nerve. My DR says it is what Elvis died of. (Elvis died sitting on the toilet) Severe constipation caused my vagus nerve issues made my heart rate drop to the the 40's for about 4-6 hours each time. It goes away after I am able to have a bowel movement but it's dangerous. It has happened 4 times now. I survive this episodes because unlike Elvis I have a strong healthy heart and opiates is not the reason for my constipation. Also, after losing 130 pounds plus.. I have a lot of hanging skin causing a horrible infection. My blood count numbers have been getting higher and higher for the last 2 months. I am hoping it is the skin infection and not a relapse of Langerhans Cell Histo. I promise, I'm relay trying to get better. I've never lied to you about my situation and will post medical proof. It's called sinus bradycardia due to constipation. Most of my medical issues are due to my rare lung disease but I have been going to the Y trying to build endurance to be able to do more. I promise, I have been trying.
One more thing that has nothing to do with money but I still need support. I moved from Portland OR to Kelso Wa 2 years ago due to rent cost, which by the way, a friend of mine just had her rent increase in Portland by $695.00/mo. I have no idea what renters are going to do. She lives on 162nd and Stark which is a bad area so I hate to know what the rent increase is in a good area. It will not be implemented until May due to rent laws but still. Anyway, I don't know anyone here. I have no friends.I'm lonely, depressed, sad. The people here are weird right wingers. My landlord saw how much weight I lost and immediately thought about the water I use. She said, " well, now that you lost weight, maybe you won't use as much water bathing." She goes on to say," your weight coupled with your gay son liking to always be spiffed up and clean really cost a lot in water." I talked to people about her comments but with the issues of rent the way they are, she could just increase the rent and get me out.
Also, I have a 31 year old son who is in jail and the D.A offered him 51 months with good time he could be out in 24. That's 4 years for a crime he did not commit but taking to trial is risky. He has a traumatic brain injury from a car accident years ago. He was hanging out near a mini mart drunk, drinking and acting a fool when a lady in a wheelchair was robbed at knife point. He didn't do it but because he was in the area looking suspicious and drunk, he was arrested. The cops know he didn't do it because they "fixed" the police report with lies to make it look like he did. Just lazy cops. They don't want to work so just grab the nearest TMI person who is drunk and blame them. He's white. I can't imagine what black mothers go through. This is hard. It's very stressful. Cop bullshit happens to poor whites too but it happens to blacks times 100000. My son has a pubic defender who is super busy and not able to hardly talk to him at all. I suffer from anxiety and PTSD so right now, I am feeling completely overwhelmed with stress. I wish I had a friend close by that would go for a walk with me, go have coffee.
I know DU is big on spelling and grammar. Please forgive my writing and grammar. I only have a GED and that was years ago. I quit school to work in a factory to help my mom pay bills when I was 16. My mom is a Mexican immigrant who only went to the 2nd grade. She came to the US at 12 years old alone to work as a nanny and later a seamstress in a clothing factory.

Alrighty then. I knew this DUmp inhabitant would resurface sooner then later. I believe it was in the Summer when she had the first fund raiser. It seems that my suspicions were dismissed because she was trying to improve her situation. I tend to think she was testing the waters.

I have read, and re-read both OPs. There is something seriously fishy with the two stories. Some parts (probably the factual part) line up, and other parts (most likely embellished for brown nosing points) are way out of whack. Then reading her story on both fundraisers creates a few more questions. Its a can of worms for sure.
Just to help keep tabs on everything, the last fund raiser generated $2740.

I got help with paying my rent one month and my landlord said, "this is the one and only time I will accept "agency payment." Next time I will evict you for non payment. I replied, that's not legal, is it? She said, "probably not but I can raise your rent where you wouldn't be able to afford it." She's a church going lady with a Ted Nugent bumper sticker.

I check my SS account regularly. I’m getting close to the age where decisions are going to be made.
These are real numbers.
If I retire at 62; $2,100/month
If I retire at 67; $3,100/month
If I get on disability TODAY, 4 years before I turn 62, I can draw $2,900/month!!!
I CAN get on disability. I’m quite sure I’d qualify due to some physical limitations I’ve been experiencing.
What the hell is wrong with our system?! If I decided to simply give up I could draw almost what I can if I wait to 67 to retire. I can draw over $313,000 before I get to 67.
I absolutely hate SS. It is the biggest scam on the planet.
I tried to get out when I was in my 30’s and they wouldn’t let me out. I will never understand the love liberals have with SS. Ever. And they bitch about it CONSTANTLY!

At age 58 you may actually get most of the money you put in back. I am getting tired of pulling the cart at this point in my life as well.

It's pretty simple really. Liberals love Social Security because it allows them to control other people. Make them dependent on SS and they'll feel compelled to support those who control it.
