Which is worse? MSNBC with over-coverage or FOX with no coverage?
I monitored FOX News this morning for about an hour and there was not one mention of the "criminal referrals" for Donald Trump by the January 6th Committee. There was a lot of border news about illegal immigration and John Roberts' hold on Title 42. There was a story about air traffic during this holiday season. There was a story about "Kidults" who were buying toys as if they were children. There were stories about Jon Benet Ramsey and the unsolved murders in Idaho. And a story about someone who wrote a country song about Santa Claus and an Uber driver. Also, there were commercials of Donald Trump selling his "coffee table book" and the Pillow guy (several commercials) selling his new bed linens and a commercial by Rush Limbaugh's brother, David, selling a book about the late radio host.
But never a mention of the "criminal referrals" for Donald J Trump?
In contrast, MSNBC reported extensively, from several different angles, on the Committee's referrals. They went into depth and reported editorially about what it meant, and so forth?
Did MSNBC report too much on the "criminal referrals"? That is a legitimate question, in my opinion.
Did FOX do the right thing by not reporting on it at all? No, not in my opinion. They were derelict in their duty as a so-called "news" operation.
Because justice is important to our country and our people. It does not serve the common good by ignoring it or pretending it didn't happen.

It deserves little other than minimal coverage. With the one-sided committee being what it is, how could they not refer charges?

Over 880 people have been charged with crimes related to the riot (or ham-on-rye sandwich) at the Capitol on 1/6, https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/jan-prosecutions-numbers-21-months-880-charged/story?id=91391596 . Not one has been charged with insurrection. NOT. ONE. How then can Trump be charged with insurrection when no insurrection happened?

Deserved minimal coverage other than a saying it was a bullshit kangaroo court engineered for a specific purpose is the appropriate response by any reputable media outlet.
Imagine if you will, a trial with no defense lawyers, simply a prosecution based on faux drama crafted by Hollywood producers and being backed up by several election deniers (Bennie Thompson, Adam Schiff, and Jamie Raskin "the lost Marx brother"), and adding two nominal "Republicans" named Lizard Cheney & Cryin' Adam Kinzinger. Neither of whom are conservative nor will be serving in public office in a couple of weeks.
Democrats don't want to find out the real facts, and didn't even bother asking the important questions. A "fair" bipartisan committee was originally supposed to include Jim Jordan, Jim Banks, and other Republicans for balance. Don't believe me?
Pelosi rejects GOP picks Jordan, Banks on Jan. 6 committee
WASHINGTON - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday rejected two Republican members for the select committee that will investigate the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy responded by threatening to pull House Republicans out of the process.
McCarthy on Monday selected five Republicans to join the committee: ranking member Rep. Jim Banks of Indiana, Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, Illinois Rep. Rodney Davis, North Dakota Rep. Kelly Armstrong and Texas Rep. Troy Nehls.
Earlier Wednesday, Pelosi said she "must reject the recommendations of Representatives Banks and Jordan to the Select Committee."
In a statement, Pelosi said she had spoken with McCarthy about "the objections raised about Representatives Jim Banks and Jim Jordan and the impact their appointments may have on the integrity of the investigation."
