BIDEN: MY GOAL IS TO GET PAID SICK LEAVE NOT JUST FOR RAIL WORKERS BUT EVERY WORKER IN AMERICA
Our friend kpete brought over a forbidden Tweet so I can't copy it, but I've been watching the DUmmies about the railroad workers. Here's what I think; I hope Biden does this. EVERY WORKER IN AMERICA. All of them.
Why? Because wait until a DUmmie has to hire a contractor for their home and they have to pay the contractor to have someone on call in case their other workers call in sick.
Wait until some of these who own businesses have to start paying sick time to all their employees.
This is a small business killer, among other things.
I have sick time at my company. I don't use it much, but I hear a lot of people who complain when they are going to lose sick time if they don't take it so they call in sick. No wonder most companies request doctors excuses! It is NOT vacation, but if you read most of the DUmmies replies in the railroad threads, they certainly think it should be treated as vacation. They don't like the notion of PTO which covers all of it.

I've had paid sick time at just about every company I've worked at since the late 70s. About the only time I've made significant use thereof were when I had brain surgery, a heart attack, and Covid. Companies have to balance the cost of an employee being out and their work not being covered with the potential of a sick person spreading an infectious disease and multiple people having to be out. That balance is much more difficult and burdensome for small companies.
