Oh man, this will be REALLY bad news for McCain!

I was just watching CNBC & they had an economist on who said that the unemployment rate could shoot to over 7% next month due to increasing layoffs. The guy also stated that if this is the case, that it will be pretty bad for the republicans in November. Bad news for workers, but potentially good for us b/c if we get Obama in we can start lowering that unemployment rate.

I wish I could ask him just how Obama will lower the unemployment rate. :whatever:

Simple, by raising taxes.

He could just hire them for his next Presidential campaign. :-)

Exactly what I was going to say.
Obama could just create a tax on companies that don't hire enough people. Do some simple calculation on profit divided by number of employees and get a tax rate. That way if a company becomes more profitable and doesn't hire more people, they pay more taxes.
See another problem solved by the proper application of a new tax. :lmao:

By the time-honored method of increasing taxes. On businesses, on individuals, on capital gains, on estates, and on anything else that can be identified as a location of money. The only effect that will have on working families is to increase prosperity, lower inflation, lower unemployment, and otherwise improve their living conditions, to equal those already enjoyed by working people in Venezuela, Cuba, and Zimbabwe.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't like this video. :fuelfire: Link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNMIwx6bGvs&eurl=http://www.barackbook.com/)

With nationalized health care and all the other new gubmint programs. HUGE growth in government is a certainty if he wins.

But, what that guarantees is two things:
1) The Senate and House of Representatives will be in Republican control on January 3, 2011.
2) Not only will there be a fillibuster-proof Republican majority in the Senate on January 3, 2013, but President Sarah Palin will be sworn in on January 20, 2013.

With Bobby Jindal as VP. :-)

Obama will snap his fingers and jobs will magically appear.

That would be a hoot! But, I was thinking of another rock-solid conservative as her VP--Julius Caesar Watts. Moonbat heads would explode with an intensity not seen since the hydrogen bomb tests of the early 1960s.
