A calm rant
I can’t get myself but so worked up about this, so it’s more an observation than a rant …
Everyone read the recent announcement about COLA being raised to a 8.7% increase, and just to put a point on it … I think prices on consumer goods automatically increased to reflect that increase.
But just to rant my little bit … does everyone realize that SS/SSDis payments don’t increase until FEB 2023 ?
Remember you get your SS/SSDis $$ in the following month, ie., so when you get your $$ in Oct, that is your Sept payment.
So Jan 2023 increase in COLA ? You don’t see till Feb ….
SO WHY ARE PRICES RISING NOW?
I mean, we know you( corporatist pirates ) are going to ream us for the increase, but we don’t have that pittance in our pockets yet …
🤏 off
And they think they are the smartest people on the Internet???

Yes.

I guess inflation was supposed to just stop in it's tracks when SS gave a COLA. That would make perfect sense to the self-proclaimed smartest people that's ever existed.

Star Moron dweller doesn't "get" that the COLA reflects PAST inflation. The conspiracy is in dweller's fake brain surrogate. Inflation continues, because

So :ownit: DU-folk!

How have retailers known all year that LAST WEEK's SS COLA would be 8.7%?
DUmmies and economics are not good friends.

I feel the same way.
First I laugh, then I start to feel bad about doing so.
But that feeling soon passes ...
And I laugh again at their sheer stupidity! :-)

People believing what they want to be true in the face of contrary reality seems to be a pretty widespread human thing. Some such folks concoct conspiracy theories when reality becomes unavoidable. DU was founded on a conspiracy theory and nourished by subsequent conspiracy theories every time what "should" have happened obstinately does not. IF the Ds lose majority in the House and Senate and by significant margins, a whole new DU-CT will be born. Being Prog means never admitting, "I was wrong."

DUmmys are the best argument for eugenics.

Once upon a time, i too felt slightly guilty about finding humor in their stupidity...
But those days are long gone, now.
These people vote, which is about equivalent to letting insane people conduct brain surgery on the unconscious.
The world would be a better place if they and the cult they belong to went full hale-bopp-heavens-gate.

I find it difficult to feel bad about self-inflicted stupidity.
So I don't. :whistling:

Inflation is a signal of government failure. The covid handouts were exactly what not to do. The current state of affairs were predictable and not a single person in power was questioning it. The inflation reduction act doubled down on the problem along with the lefts wishlist of I'll advised policies.

Biden, his junta, and the entire democrat party will print as much money as it takes to stop inflation!

Exactly correct, which is why I'm of the firm opinion that the effects we're enduring now were EXACTLY the outcome the Deep State and their willing collaborators in Congress pushed for as hard as they did.
I guess it remains to be seen which faction is the stronger: those of us who have worked for a living our entire lives and BUILT large portions of this country with our own two hands, or the delicate, butter-soft handed "leader" class who couldn't build a sandwich without ****ing it up.

There was a saying somewhere about rebooting the whole works and starting off equally... the wealthy would have the majority again in a very short time. Why? Because they tend to think about money and resources differently than the average person. The truth is that the average person is comfortable in large amounts of debt, leveraged assets, etc...
