Alex Jones - what comes next?

I'm hoping someone with far more legal education than me can help me -

What comes next? Does he start paying these families right away? Or maybe try to resist making payments he's supposed to make right away? Or will there be appeals before he pays anything?

I suspect the failed stand-up comedians who represented him in court will try whatever they can, but if they're as successful with that as they were with the damages hearings, I can't imagine their efforts will last very long.

DUmmies are all excited about this verdict.  :whatever:

When DU first started, Alex Jones was an icon over there because of his “911 Truther” conspiracy theories. Every primitive was cheering his “it was an inside job by Bush” nonsense.

He was just like Cindy Sheehan, and as long as he preached hatred and suspicion of Bush, they loved it. But once they fell out of favor, they got discarded as if they were always trash.

That’s the reason why anytime I see the primitives or the Dems elevate some individual, I’m always left wondering how long it will last and what will it be that sours the whole relationship, because the one certainty is that it’s coming.

There was another loon the DUmmies loved for his "9/11 Trooferisms": Wayne Madsen. And distinctly remember how much they DUmmies adored Bev Harris, until they hit her with a shovel and tossed her into a shallow grave.

You’re right. Hard to remember all the “heroes” over the years they fallen out with and tossed on the fire.

What's concerning is how much of what jones said came true. put the guy in a toga and he'd be about as accurate as a Greek oracle

Well...the DUmmy is right.

It does need someone with legal knowledge to assist it.

The proof is in the DUmmy calling the lawyers 'failed standup comedians', while saying nothing of the ridiculous judge and opposing laweyers, or the fraudulent nature of the trial and it's outcome.

If the DUmmy really wanted to know, it could listen to the words of Robert Barnes and viva frei on youtube.

But then it would have to hear things it didn't agree with and therefore could not accept.

It's the ol' we can't jail Jones or keep him off-the-air because he won't be able to earn money to pay the families paradox.

I haven't been following the trial, but the jury awarded wayyyyyy too much money.  Keep it around a few million and the pressure to pay it is more painfully realistic.

Yeah, that number is whacky high.  I'd like to see the "math" that the jury used to come up with $965M.

Border agents now have a monetary precedent set. They were defamed by the government, ever though the government knew the whip story was false.

Do your best, BP Union.
