The contrast above suffices to show that Trump and his administration took Covid seriously and acted almost literally from the day China announced its existence to the world. The list above of Trump administration actions is a small sample of what I knew, sufficient for context and contrast. I have much longer lists of Trump administration actions done in January and February. Were I to post those lists the posts would be obnoxiously long. The Dems claim Trump ignored and downplayed Covid in the first couple of months - i.e. January and February 2020 - and those months, therefore, were wasted. As my post above proves, it was Dem pols and public health officials in Dem-governed major cities that ignored and downplayed Covid in January, February, and March 2020.
Not being a DU member, I can't use whatever Search function DU dinosaurian RYO forum SW has, but I wonder what DU-folks were saying about Covid in January and February 2020. Were they warning each other about it or claiming Trump was exaggerating it? Were they agreeing with Trump's China travel shutdown or denouncing it as racist and xenophobic?

I found a way to access the archives. Grant it, it takes a little searching, outside of the DU site itself, but its possible. You can look day by day, then simply "control F" and type in your search term. Its a little clumsy but it works. I wont post publicly how. I wouldnt want any lurking Monkeys in on it. :-)

Sounds like they've locked in effective treatment. I expect the overall death rate to drop now.
7 cases in the US, there was another in California. Shows it is mostly contained here and with flights to and from China stopped, the spread will likely die down in the U.S with only one person to person transmission being recorded in the US.
I see this entire outbreak as having somewhat of an upside now because it is preparing the world for how to react when a worse outbreak comes, and if the history of medicine teaches us anything it teaches that eventually, there will be a worse disease outbreak eventually.

I’m involved with vulnerable elderly folks quite frequently. No one is wearing masks - at the doctor offices, the dialysis centers, the senior centers - I’ve seen them nowhere.
I went to vote today. Many, many people there - not a mask in sight.
Are you sick? If so, yes, then wear a mask to protect others.

I wish I could remember the name of the guest who was on MSNBC yesterday, but she said that the respirator masks that DO work, that are used in areas where people are being tested and treated, are also custom-fitted. The over the counter dust masks DO NOT protect people.

Donald Trump was just on DaySide, on FOX, and he spoke out very clearly against Bush and the War in Iraq. He also said that he thinks America is ready for a female president.
Funny: When the female host asks him about Guilianni running vs. Hilary, he said it would be an interesting race. She said, in typical fox news "some people say" fashion, something to the extent of "don't you think he's got skeletons in his closet." He promptly answered "do you?!"

I wasn't just DUpipo making such comments about masks. Up until April 2020, public health people, in the US and internationally, were recommending against healthy people wearing masks. Somehow DUpipo missed that reversal and just parroted whatever line was current. :thatsright:

In late October or November the Dem Party Line changed to silence, and then in January-February it changed to LIEden's there were no vaccines when I came into office.

Personally have had numerous moles at the DUmp since 2003, a few still haven't received the granite tombstone. Yet.

DU was essentially founded as a butt-hurt reaction to President George W. Bush beating Algore in 2000.
Personally have had numerous moles at the DUmp since 2003, a few still haven't received the granite tombstone. Yet.
Actually donated the bare minimum at the DUmp a couple of times (basically the cost of a soft drink or beer) just for access to the archives. And about half a dozen times was able to grovel to get a gullible DUmmy to buy me a donor star. It was invaluable for compiling our year end DUmmy "Top 10" stuff, back when Frank and I still did that.

For anyone keeping track at home, July 7th 2003 is the furthest that we can google back.
Anyone have any idea why? Wasnt DU founded around 1999? Or am I way off base?
If I remember right that has a big crash back about then and had to rebuild. I could be wrong but that sounds right.

There were a TON of calls for violence against Bush pre-2003 on DU. That's why they had to scrub it. Funny how they all loves them some Bush now.
