By the left's measurement guide it is. We are more in debt, have more crime, more lawlessness, more homelessness, higher taxes, higher inflation, higher and scarcer energy, a diminished and demorralized military, and a more, much more tyrannical government. All of those are socialistic democrat goals. So in their evil demented world view the USA is in a much better place. For some reason 75%+ plus of the nation disagrees.
