Look, let's get something ****ING straight. THIS is a war hero.
That's Max Cleland.
He's a Democrat, a Viet Nam Veteran.
He's MY HERO.
He's like John McCain, only he has three less limbs.
He pisses and shits into a plastic bag.
He's a triple amputee.
He's been like this for years.
He's not a long term senator.
He's not married to a beer heiress, who can afford a $300,000 outfit, most of it in diamond earrings.
He's just a Viet Nam vet, and he ain't running for shit.
Know why?
Because people like Shawn Hannity (what an honor it is to speak to such a great American, Mr. Hannity).
Mr. Hannity, who has a radio show, and Ann Coulter said he was a drunken ass, liberal *****.
A drunk, someone who caused his very OWN injuries because, he had too many beers, and he was playing around with a live grenade, while sitting around a camp fire.
Remember that?
DO YOU?
How about Saxby Chambliss?
Who stole his seat?
Remember that?
Because THAT'S what Democrats do.
Like John Kerry.
They FAKE their war injuries, for a run at a public office, later on in their ill gotten careers.
Shit, we are so low and Anti-American, that good Republicans, who LOVE America, HAD to wear "Purple Heart Band-Aids" to voice their opinons against the "FRENCH LOOKING" Senator John Kerry.
BUT -
NOT like John McCain. A cross in the sand, thumbs up to his fellow prisoners as he was returned from being tortured.
I can look at Max, and I can immediately see what he's been through.
John McCain?
Not so much.
All I have to go on with John McCain is what HE has told us.
There is a thing or two that I know for sure.
He tossed his first wife away like an empty Budweiser can, because she was crippled in a car accident and she wasn't "pretty" enough anymore.
He started ****ing around with a VERY rich blond, worth millions, while he was still married to his crippled first wife.
Nice guy, huh?
So, he got divorced, married Miss Budweiser and set upon his new life.
Politics
He got caught up in some scandals, Keating Five and others, but money and lots of it, often makes problems like that go away.
And we were reminded over and over and over that he was a POW, a WAR HERO.
Not like Max Cleland, who was a drunk, and not like John Kerry who was a "gigolo".
Then, John McCain decided he would run for President.
Against a ne'er do well "gubner" from Texas called "Dubya".
McCain came out of the box strong, winning, actually destroying "Dubya" in New Hampshire.
Then came South Carolina and it was over.
Why?
Because the "Christian" guy I'd like to have a beer with, "Dubya" said he had a illegitimate "colored" daughter, and HOW "Christian" was that, and John McCain was done.
Now, here he is.
"Code Pink" being dragged out of his convention speech, to the zealots screaming "USA! USA!"
John McCain ain't no "war hero" let's get that straight.
John McCain is a right wing whore, who is prepared to get down on his knees and suck any right wing dick that's put in front of him.
He's already proved it.
He ain't no "Maverick".
If he was a "Maverick" he'd be in jail right now for strangling who ever levied that insult against his "colored" daughter.
John McCain is speaking right now, delivering his "BIG" speech.
How ****ing inspiring.
This crook ain't fit to carry Barak Obama’s briefcase and tomorrow morning I plan on getting in any body's face that differs with me.
War Hero?
Blow me.
Whore?
Let's talk.
THIS is a war hero.

YOu just have to go check it out. It's hilarous.

If ignorance and stupidity were energy sources, the DUmp could power the western half of the USA.
-
Let's use DUmmy logic here. McCain, according to DU, was an incompetent pilot who deserved to be a POW because he was too stupid to not get shot down (challenge me on this and I will post the threads). DU has said he deserved to be a POW.
So, if Max Cleland got blown to hell, wouldn't that make him an exceptionally bad soldier? I mean, what kind of shitty soldier can't avoid getting blown to bits on the field of battle? Cleland a HERO? In DU's book, Cleland is a dolt who had his injuries coming to him.
(unless, of course, he's a Democrat)
Sorry, DU, epic fail. We all know that Cleland AND McCain are heroes who each sacrificed life and limb in Vietnam. Know what happens when you go to the local VFW? Politics get checked at the door. You should try to do the same.

115. Cleland was one of the 29 Senate Democrats who backed the authorization to go to war in Iraq.
Things that make you go "Hmmmmmmmmmmmm."

116. John Kerry did he derserve his medals?
Max Clealand deserved his medals
John Kerry give me a break
do you know the reason why John Kerry got three purple hearts?
he got two then he applied to the sugeon for the 3rd because there is a stipulation in the regs that stated that if you got three purple hearts then you could released from your service early
so he applied and got the 3rd purple heart after he shot off the grenade launcher too close to himself (self inflicted wound..oops)
this way he could get the early discharge, abandon his "brothers in arms" and go home and call them murderous thugs
yeah he's your kind of hero all right
enjoy his company
I say you can have him as he's one of you
Oooooooooooo. Facts the DUmmies don't want to hear.

119. actually it was a pretty stupid immature ramble
not really a good rant at all
I mean Max was a soldier like any other that lost limbs in the Vietnam War
there are plenty that come home with injuries
Max certainly has done honorable service to this country
John McCain has also done honorable service to this country, just because he didn't lose an arm or a leg doesn't and shouldn't preclude him from any thanks due to a recognized POW
he refused early release, he could have come home but chose to stay with his fellow captives
more than you can say about john Kerry who submitted the paperwork himself to be granted early release from his tour of duty, only to come home and speak lies and treasonous remarks about his fellow comrades (the same ones he tried to use to show as his band of brohters later on)
so deal with it
John McCain is a war hero, Max is a war hero Kerry .......not so much
oh and please do tell me when and where to 'get in your face' I would love to beat the snot out of a punk like you

120. wow this rant really sucked, what an a$$hole
really mindless drivel
please go back and get your GED then get a job so I don't have to support your stupid ass on the welfare line
.

Well gees, don't the DUmmies worship genocidal maniacs like Stalin and Pol Pot. Let us not forget that Jim Jones was also a Communist.

I may be wrong, but wasn't Cleland the vet that was injured in a "friendly fire" incident? Something about losing control of a grenade.......?
I just remember it being discussed during the 2004 election cycle, but don't remember the specifics......

Cleland's own words, as excerpted from Ann Coulter's original article posted here:
http://www.jewishworldreview.com/cols/coulter021904.asp
In Cleland's own words: "I didn't see any heroism in all that. It wasn't an act of heroism. I didn't know the grenade was live. It was an act of fate." That is why Cleland didn't win a Purple Heart, which is given to those wounded in combat. Liberals are not angry because I "lied"; they're angry because I told the truth.
Cleland, using DU logic, is not only not a hero, but a butterfingered doofus who took valuable resources away from actual combat casualties.
(Cleland was in Nam, made a mistake, and paid dearly...dude has GUTS. I'm just showing DUmmies their logic)

Cleland was injured by a hand grenade inside a firebase.

Democrats tout the Silver and Bronze Stars won by both Kerry and Cleland in Vietnam. But they prefer not to mention that, despite losing two legs and an arm to a hand grenade, Cleland was never awarded even one Purple Heart. The reason, as columnists Ann Coulter and Mark Steyn were widely attacked for pointing out, is that Cleland's horrible injuries did not happen in combat, as Kerry tries to suggest with his deceitfully-crafted phrase about Cleland leaving his limbs "on the battlefield."
This terrible accident happened not on a battlefield but on a helicopter pad 15 miles away from combat. Cleland stepped out of a helicopter to go have a beer with buddies, saw a hand grenade on the ground, assumed that he had dropped it and picked the explosive device up. It had been dropped by another, inexperienced soldier who had left the weapon on a hair trigger setting. It detonated, devastating Cleland's 25-year-old body and in an instant changing his life.
In the 1986 edition of his autobiography Strong at the Broken Places, Cleland wrote of his receiving the Soldier's Medal "for allegedly shielding my men from the grenade blast and the Silver Star for allegedly coming to the aid of wounded troops…."
"There were no heroics on which to base the Soldier's Medal," wrote Cleland on page 87. "And it had been my men who took care of the wounded during the rocket attack, not me. Some compassionate military men had obviously recommended me for the Silver Star, but I didn't deserve it." Two pages later he added: "I was not entitled to the Purple Heart either, since I was not wounded by enemy action."

Given that, it is a real stretch of logic to draw a rational comparison between Cleland and McCain, at least from the point of view of heroism......

to advance his military career by bombing innocent children. His ultimate goal was to follow in his father's and grandfather's footsteps to the Admiralty. The Navy knew he was a loser and told him so, hence the political career.
Max Cleland is a true American hero who I had the privilege of meeting on a few occasions. When I offered to beat the shit out of Grand Kleigle Karl Rove, Max told me I had to get in line. Max is one of the most inspirational people I've ever met, and if Max gives his blessing, Karl Rove better watch his pasty white ass. I would never hit a woman, so Ann D. Ku Klux Koulter better get that sex change operation completed if he/she knows what's good for him/her.
Now you got me all fired up and having those PTSD flashbacks. In fact Rove and Koulter resemble the NVA with each passing minute.
These treasonous Republican scumbags should count their blessings that I'm too disabled from war injuries to track them to the gates of Hell. But if they should cross my path.........
:bird: Dick.
I hope we meet up some day. I'll get to see if that alligator mouth of yours will get your ass in trouble. :censored:

I didn't think TiT had a sockpuppet. Hm.
Someone needed Max Cleland's approval to beat up Karl Rove? I smell bullshit.
Let's see how long that post lasts, threatening violence.

It should be noted Cleland was wounded when he picked up a grenade he found lying on the ground.
Tragic. Hero-worthy. But hardly compares to McCain's ordeal in the commission of his dutues.

Thanks, I have wondered how he got highly-decorated for what I knew from cursory reading was just being present for another Soldier's boo-boo. The medals are small consolation for losing three limbs, of course, and only a complete asshole would really try to make an issue of that once they were awarded.
