Whole Foods CEO: "Socialists are taking over"
Whole Foods co-founder and CEO John Mackey fears that socialism is on the rise in the U.S.
"My concern is that I feel like socialists are taking over," Mackey, who is set to retire from the Amazon-owned grocery chain at the end of the month after 44 years at the company, said in a podcast this week with Reason Magazine. "They're marching through the institutions."
Socialists have "taken over education. It looks like they've taken over a lot of the corporations. It looks like they've taken over the military. And it's just continuing — so I'm deeply concerned," he added.
Mackey, who espouses the idea of "conscious capitalism" — which he describes as a management philosophy focused on ethical ways of doing business — also questioned the work ethic of younger Americans.

Well now. I never considered that the Muppets would ever take up arms (literally there Arms because they clearly dont like firearms) against the almighty Whole Foods.
Admittingly, I do shop Whole Foods about every other week for a couple misc. items that only they have, that I can buy locally. Short of ordering from the evil internet. Each time im in there, the first thought I usually have, "its a haven" for the Kale Munching Hippies of the DUmp. Honestly, if I wanted to encounter, and maybe start a conversation with a (D), with better then average odds, Whole Foods would be the first place I would go. It seems like the place that would attract people of that caliber. Just say'n.

Ok. Im confused. I thought he was an idiot and didnt know what hes talking about? Are you saying Dems. are all for Socialism, Fascism, and Communism? Well aint that interesting.

:rotf: Does Deminpenn understand that Prog boycotts usually get buried by counter-buycotts? :-)
Besides, I'm pretty sure Whole Foods customers' loyalty is way stronger than their political views.

The liberal understanding of socialism is that the government gives you everything and nothing is expected from you in return unless you want to voluntarily do something in the way of work.
