I don't know about Gavin Newsom, but
I love that he took the battle right to Florida, right in FL's RWs' faces. Time to take the gloves off. Use their own playbook. Time to stop playing nice-nice.
More Democrats need to start doing that. And then watch the RWs whine and point fingers.
**** 'em all.
Newsom ran an ad in Florida, extolling the virtues of California. No, really. (https://www.democraticunderground.com/100216890634)
Betting minds would assume he's aiming right at DeSantis, because everyone in the world minus Democratic Underground knows that Biden and Kamala are soon to be memory-holed.
Oddly enough, Newsom is trying to attract Floridians to California, which is both figuratively and literally like choosing to defecate in the street because indoor plumbing has lost its allure. Newsom's
entire argument is this: "Hey, Floridians: tired of being able to own a gun? You want an ABORTION? Then come on down!"
Don't get me wrong - this would be a reasonable thing to do in Vermont, or Massachusetts, or Maryland, where it's almost all liberal and the weather generally sucks. But FLORIDA?
Oh - did you know that Newsom is more masculine than Ron DeSantis? You know - decorated war veteran, and attache to Seal Team One? Well, let me educate you:

Yes, DeSantis is an obese dwarf, an evil one.
I mean, I guess I can see it. DUmmy men, when sizing up a man, first and foremost decide if they would want to be sodomized by him. I can see how a liberal would rather be sodomized by Newsom.

Point fingers and laugh is more like it. It’s like when democrats try to meme. Watching them “take the battle to Florida” is like watching a person swing at the air and punch themselves in the face.

Yes, Illinois Goobernor J.P. "Moneybags" Pritzger is an obese dwarf, an evil one.
Fixed for accuracy.
Here's fat J.B.:

Is Goobernor Noisome even popular with a majority of FL Dems?
If Goobernor Noisome were truthful, his campaign slogans would be:
Vote for Me, I am not Senescent!
and
Vote for Me, I am not Stupid and Lazy Like Kammie!

This only anecdotal evidence but I know over 15 high net worth individuals (7-8 figures) that have moved to Florida in the past two years. Some have kept their property here in the PDRoC because of Prop 13.
Good luck Newscum.

The commie is supposedly vacationing in Montana. You know, one of the states that California Public Employees are banned from visiting.

29. Gavin Newsom Has it All!
Gavin Newsome has it all, brains, great communicator, has gravitas, experience and he has done wonderful things for California. I see him as a mature Bobby Kennedy type who will attract voters from across the Democratic Party big tent! He is the one!!!!
Yes indeedy. He also likes to have affairs with his staffers, use draconian methods to shut down a state, and truly practice the "rules are for thee, not for me" when it comes to dining out when everybody is locked in their homes. Whats not to love?

Sad Trombone..

They spend most of that thread prattling on about height and weight. Post after post, whether DeSantis is 5'9" or 10"

23. DeSantis
Sure, but let's face it, physical appearance is an important factor for politicians.
Yes. I find DeSantis attractive, and Newsom gives me the creeps, with that hair gel slick-back.

6. It was trolling and it was well done.
But essentially it's an ad for 2024. He's not high on my list. I'd like to see Cory Booker take another run. I like Gretchen Whitmer from Michigan. I keep wondering when Chris Murphy (CT) is gonna make a move. I'm also a big fan of Eric Swalwell and Ted Lieu, if you really must have a Californian.
All clowns and/or assholes. :lmao:

1. Could Wretched Whitler win her own state's Presidential primary? She had a lot of Michiganders mega-POed, and the FBI's publicity stunt didn't get her much sympathy.
2. Since I so kindly wrote campaign slogans for Goobernor Noisome, here's a slogan for whomever of Eric Swillwell and Ted Lieuny grab it forst:
I'm not as Crazy as Adam Schifftyroo!
And just for Ted Lieuny:
I Didn't Sleep with My Chief of Staff's Wife or a Chinese Spy! Unlike Newsom and Swalwell!

Considering the average height of an adult male in the U.S. is about 5'9", he isn't short by any stretch of the imagination. There are far more important issues to concern myself with such as their stand on issues that matter.

Wow, DU is without peer in the realm of hero worship.
I like Gretchen Whitmer from Michigan.
… … :o
I’m pretty sure you’re basically alone in that regard.

And she/it also loves them some Eric Swalwell. He's an absolute laughingstock even without the shagging a Chinese spy topping on the cake.

Talk about lubin' their cukes, they're all over themselves over there, salivating over Biden's speech in Cleveland today. I don't want to listen to him, but I gather it's about union pensions, or something. They're absolutely orgasmic. One even cried. :rotf:
President Biden spoke with great passion and conviction. Spoke in part of the great failures of the Trump administration. Blew his horn about what he's accomplished in his term so far. I was so moved by his speech that it brought me to tears.
From Twitchy, some quotes:
BIDEN: "We made incredible progress on the economy from where we were year and a half ago. We've got a long way to go because of inflation, because of the, I call it, the Putin tax increase, the Putin, because of gasoline..."
:lmao: ****ing moron

Show of hands my fellow conservatives on being teary-eyed or sexually aroused hearing any politician speak?
Personally, never once ever or even close.

I can admit to being "teary-eyed", but that's usually just before the nausea becomes too much to control, and I have to "technicolor yawn"...

In 2004, during his second year at Harvard Law, DeSantis was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Navy and assigned to the Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG). He completed Naval Justice School in 2005. Later that year, he received orders to the JAG Trial Service Office Command South East at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, as a prosecutor. He was promoted from lieutenant, junior grade to lieutenant in 2006. He worked for the commander of Joint Task Force-Guantanamo (JTF-GTMO), working directly with detainees at the Guantanamo Bay Joint Detention Facility.[18][19][20]
In 2007, DeSantis reported to the Naval Special Warfare Command Group in Coronado, California, where he was assigned to SEAL Team One and deployed to Iraq[21] with the troop surge as the Legal Advisor to the SEAL Commander, Special Operations Task Force-West in Fallujah.[18][19][20]
DeSantis returned to the U.S. in April 2008, at which time he was reassigned to the Naval Region Southeast Legal Service. The U.S. Department of Justice appointed him to serve as a Special Assistant U.S. attorney[21] at the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Middle District of Florida. DeSantis was assigned as a trial defense counsel until his honorable discharge from active duty in February 2010. He concurrently accepted a reserve commission as a lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the US Navy Reserve.[22]
During his military career, DeSantis was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Iraq Campaign Medal.[18][19][20] As of 2022, he was still serving in the U.S. Navy Reserve.[23]
