My oldest "hippie" brother has turned completely nutty trumpy He brought a Lets Go Brandon
sign to our nephew's BBQ where my nephew's inlaws were also there.
He never used to be like this.
He even wore a t-shirt that said 'I used to be a deplorable but now I am a proud Maga"
tears me up. He was in Germany during Viet-nam and came back a full fledged hippy. Has been married 3 times. I love him to death but this is beyond the pale.
We share the same birthday month but he is 15 years older than me. We share the same taste in music-Beatles, Doobies the like. In fact, he has the entire Beatles collection twice. Once set has never had the plastic slit. That collection is mine in his will.

Maybe he grew tired of the damn establishment shipping all of our f'n jobs overseas and realized Trump was trying to get them back before you jackass clowns stole the election.

I thought to myself there was no way in HELL I'd vote for the guy who ruined Herschel Walker's career, a showman, etc. I was Bush, McCain, Romney. Now looking back? Throw them, save McCain, in front of me and I'll never vote for them for dogcatcher. **** the establishment. BOTH sides.
Trump opened up my eyes to a LOT of stuff. Not personally, but I saw what one man who couldn't be bought, with ZERO political experience, could do.

I think poopy pants is just looking for attention. Nobody brings a "sign" to a family dinner, and that T-shirt has way too many words on it, and it makes no sense anyway. The thread is full of the usual encouragement to permanently isolate themselves from any family members who feel differently than the DUmp.

Even before I looked at who posted it, what I emphasized told me the :bouncy: -tale was at least partially fictional. Fried chicken? Potato salad? Jello mold? Fruit plate? Maybe, but a sign, not plausible.

What changed? Fox News? Change in friends?
I saw my long time democratic mom go full on right wing in about 18 months, after she got a job where they listened to Rush Limbaugh everyday. My non-political BIL went full on gun-humper trumper in about the same amount of time, when he moved to a small rural town down south where it seems like everyone is republican cuz if you're not you keep your mouth shut. Just seems like something changed with your brother. At any rate, I know the feeling. It's a sad occurrence, especially if you were close.
