If SCOTUS brings back "Wife must have husband's permission before..."
and there is some sort of catastrophic event like an earthquake or a hurricane, just know that it was likely caused by Mrs. Aristus blowing her stack and going on a rampage.
Mrs. Aristus spent the fifteen years of her first marriage having to ask her asshole husband permission for anything unless she wanted to get slammed up against a wall.
She has never and will never have to do that with me. But she will be damned if she is required to do it by law.
She manages her own credit cards, her own bank accounts, and buys her own cars. And she ain’t going back, folks.
The self-described Smartest People on the Internet still have no idea that the Supreme Court does not pass or enact laws. It interprets the Constitution. That's it. (https://www.democraticunderground.com/100216883067)
Of course, deep down they know that, but recent rulings have given them cover to puff their chests out over ridiculous shit like this. Bully for you, Aristus: you don't beat your wife. Go have a cookie on me.

4. I think it will be done in a de facto or covert way.
Women will be busy popping out babies every year, a house full of kids. So women are back to being overwhelmed with child care and house keeping. Because of this they cannot get an education or hold down a good job.
So the husband will be the wage earner and handle the money.
They will only be able to afford one car which the husband will be using for work.
So women will not be out and about like they are now.
Like in the old days.
Older women will not be the target of subjugation like fertile women will be.
I really thought the DUmmies were the party of science and reality, but to listen to these idiots talk, you'd the SCOTUS outlawed birth control. Not only that, but Democrats will continue to chip away at the nuclear family such that there will be very few fathers at work and mothers in the home. As BLM has made clear in their mission: the nuclear family must go.

7. I don't recognize this SCOTUS as a legitimate body.
I view them with the utmost contempt and spit on the paper they render their decisions on. Their rulings explicitly contradict many of the rights guaranteed under The Constitution. They are following antiquated doctrines from extremist and dangerous fringe ideologies like Evangelicalism and Dominionism in an unprecedented power grab by a minority party. What they're legislating from the bench doesn't resemble anything to do with he rule of law, common sense or decency. Many of them are woefully unqualified to sit on much lower courts never mind the USSC and we have thousands of signatures from professionals in their field that tell us this. I'd rather they burn in their own versions of hell than continue to push it on us.
Oh, bullshit. You just don't agree, you collectivist scumbag. **** off and die.

Never ask yourself "Can leftists be any more stupid?" The answer is always "Yes! Yes, they can!"

Is DU having a Biggest and Stupidest Straw Man contest?

Crap like this post (and many DUmp posts) make me believe the polling that only a third of the country can identify the three branches of government, and even less know the five freedoms guaranteed in the 1st Amendment. (The fifth is rarely discussed, but the other four are really simple).
Apparently they aren't teaching basic civics and government in school anymore.

I've watched this over at DU and they get themselves all worked up over wild speculation and conjecture. Instead of treating these things like it's a remote possibility and so unlikely as to be unworthy of consideration, it becomes what *will* happen. Then they start seeing coded messaging from Republicans and all sorts of other wild conspiratorial words and actions, so by process what was mindless conjecture becomes the absolute truth of what is going on. They're like Don Quixote fighting windmills.
It's definitely amusing to watch  , but it's rather disturbing how they can go from imaging some scenario to it becoming the reality that is definitely going to happen :mental: .

It's part of DU-grade Progs' messianic complex. They believe that Rs would have done what they fantasize, but for their valiant tantrumming.

Explicitly contradicts rights.… such as…?

Aristus would like you to know he's not a wife beater
That is just what a wife beater would say. However knowing DUmmys, I doubt any male identifying DUmbass DUchebag could take a women on and do any damage.

1. There are 10s of millions of Evangelicals in the US, hardly "fringe".
2. "Dominionism" isn't a thing. It's the name given to Christian Reconstructionists by someone opposed to them. CRs are a very small fringe who believe the Law of Moses should be followed by the US, aside from dietary and sacrifices laws. Other than that small group, no one is advocating that, and there are no USSC rulings establishing that, fully or partially.
3. Each USSC Justice who voted for rulings DUpipo hate was nominated by a President elected by a majority of the states and confirmed by a majority of US Senators, i.e. the majorities that matter.

Going by the average age at the island, they weren't teaching it in 1915 either
