I don't recall the DUmmies being upset about the texas school shooter, timothy simpkins, who was bailed out the next day, or remember them making a big thing about guns after it happened:

These leftists that want to remedy this by confiscating guns are the same scum that, if we were to become pro-active about trying to recognize those who are mentally unstable and could potentially carry out a mass execution in order to separate them from society before they act, would be screaming that we’re violating their civil rights.

Leftists are mentally ill. There’s nothing anyone can do to make them happy. If they got their way all the time, it would be a matter of days before they would turn on each other.
