It has started-we have 3 new board of education members.
This weeks meeting CRT and books were on the agenda.
One asked for a complete list of every book that services our 55,000 student body.
Another asked just "how we teach SEL" (social and emotional learning)
The last one asked just "how do we teach Kansas History-Bleeding Kansas"
Retirement may be closer than I thought last week.

God forbid a BoE member should actually want to know what is being taught in their system.
Next thing you know County Commissioners will want to know how their district is zoned and cops will want to know what the laws are.

I fail to see a down side to any of this for the students. Board members interested in the curriculum and someone who should have never been a teacher may leave.

I fail to see a down side to any of this for the students.
Therein lies the point - in the leftist mindset the good of students is utterly irrelevant. Teachers* and the pushing of the leftist agenda are the only things which are important.
*By teachers, I don't mean that many hard-working teachers who seek to inculcate knowledge and character in their students, I mean the unionised blob.

Educratic arrogance has had consequences. However, I hop parents group realize that in 2 or 4 years, union-shill educrats will be back, running with an avalanche of union-paid campaign ads. That's what the unions did in the 90s, and they'll do it again. This was the first battle, not the entire war.
