Maher: Lia Thomas ‘Proves a Woman Can Do Anything a Man Can Do, Especially if She’s Born with a Penis’
During the opening monologue to Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher reacted to University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas’ victory in the 500-yard freestyle at the NCAA championship by remarking that Thomas’ win proves that a woman can do anything that a man can, “especially if she’s born with a penis.”
At the end of his opening, Maher stated, “And finally, congratulations to Lia Thomas, you know who that is? She is the transgender swimmer who won the NCAA nationals, beating two former Olympians.”
After pausing while some in the audience applauded and laughed, Maher remarked, “And she said, this just proves a woman can do anything a man can do, especially if she’s born with a penis.” The remark drew laughs from the audience.

What this travesty clearly shows is how much an asshole is willing to go in order to have a title. Otherwise, this Thomas cretin would be a non-entity in a male swimmer world. :whatever:

It sort of dovetails with that graphic that I posted yesterday about the general stupidity on the populations of certain groups in America.

We’re so old we remember the controversy over TIME magazine darkening O.J. Simpson’s mug shot for its cover, eliciting accusations of racism. And then there’s that photo of the Capitol riot they always use that makes it look like the building’s surrounded by flames. Altering photos is pretty sketchy business.
We did a post the other day about the TODAY Show’s piece on transgender swimmer Lia Thomas, but we’d missed this among all of the enthusiasm the reporter seemed to show for Thomas’ chances. Somebody noticed it, though, and now we can’t unsee it. Why did NBC News put a soft filter on Thomas’ face?

All NBC did was edit out the impressions of his goggles. It may be silly, but why should anyone care?

Well, it could have been worse. They could've not only erased the goggle imprints on the pretty boy's face, but also built some boobs for this self-aggrandizing moron. Oh, and lipstick. Can't forget that. Mascara wouldn't work in water, so they might've touched up on that too.
